Of course you do… if somebody was stuck at the back of the line because the owners of the ride started at discriminatory line that cut in front of them then you let those people jump to the front if you want to rectify the situation. Simply cutting off the discriminatory line doesn’t resolve things
Government isn't there to resolve social inequities. Government can't solve the vast majority of social problems, and shouldn't try. The problems for which government is an appropriate solution make up a very narrow slice of the challenges we face as a society. The conviction that it can, and should, be the resolver of all things is the core conceit of modern liberalism.

The government cause the inequity via law. Of course they have a responsibility to rectify

But isn't that just an excuse for this case? Don't Democrats want government to rectify inequity broadly, even if specific legal injustices can't be identified?

If it's just the specific case of descendents of slavery you're concerned with - it seems we could have something like a class action lawsuit. Actually calculate the damages and award the defendants. Get it over with.

But that's not what Democrats are after. They want government to be in the business of rectifying inequities in general, correct?

I’m not just talking about slavery. Our entire system was set upon a way that oppressed minorities for generations. Slavery, Jim Crow, redlining, education, banking, criminal Justice etc etc etc

So yes, democrats push for equity and to broadly rectify and republicans pretend that everything was fixed after the civil rights act was passed… but like with most all issues the reality and reasonable solutions lie in the middle

If being gay and or trans is what makes a person feel free and happy are you cool with it?

Sure.

But if a dude wants me to call him a "her" or a "she"...it ain't gonna happen...because he isn't!

But if he wants to call himself a "she"...he can go for it...I couldn't care less. The only one he's fooling is himself.

That's what I thought. It will never end.

I prefer equal rights to equity. You can't have both.

So you’re just going to completely ignore the points I made and simply repeat your short sighted position? Nice

Your points just confirmed my suspicion. You're not worried about any particular injustices, just the usual class warfare stuff. You want equity rather than equal rights. You want government to decide who gets what, rather than a free market.

I couldn't vote because Voting and Freedom of speech are equal to me in value

Freedom itself, however, has been ABUSED in the US and everywhere else. People think freedom is the right to do whatever you choose, no matter how sick it is (homosexuality... murdering the unborn), no matter whom it hurts.

Then when sick people hurt THEM... OMG!

You’re wrong. Equity is a fantasy, there will never be equity. I’m just not automatically going to shut down conversations about it because I think there are voices that need to be heard and amplified

Exactly. Liberals don't even really want that. They just want government making that call, rather than free society.

What does that mean?

The fact that you think Liberals crave the government controlling them is hilarious. It show how out of touch you are
