If you mean here, I have legions of the biggest, worthless buttholes on IGNORE. You can never get a straight answer out of them on anything and all they do is spew venal, seditious bile of hate. If you mean generally, my preferred method of dealing with the hard left is to dehydrate them first, grind them into a fine powder, then snort them as a snuff.

Sometimes they also go well as a light topping on hotcakes in lieu of powdered sugar.

Well, maybe he intends scorched earth but just isn't showing his hand yet because he still depends on these people to get moved in and set up in Washington first.

Maybe he is using his good will (for now) as leverage to get things he wants.

Or maybe he is working deals with these people because they already tried to have him killed and could do so again and his life may depend on some of them. Remember, 90% of DC voted AGAINST him, so, he will be SURROUNDED by enemies.
