Under Donald Trump we refused to explicitly take violence off the table when discussing the Greenland situation.

We captured the sitting president of another nation.

We're essentially blockading Cuba and causing massive problems for its people. The president also made remarks implying we could take control of the country.

We've gone to war with Iran.

Will there be more?

That's already kind of a lot for a president that claimed there won't be war on his watch.

I'm not 100% MAGA (Trump disgusts me in many ways), but I align with the movement in more ways than not.

I don't know of any one individual on team MAGA that would support a military takeover of Greenland or even Cuba, for that matter.

Russia's got 2 oil tankers on the way to Cuba. Let's see what our dumb racist pedophile does about that:

Indeed. Cuba sided with Russia long ago to oppose the US, and now everyone is upset that the US has taken actions against them?

Hilarious.

Your little fascist Island communists will be just fine I'm sure, no worries. They will continue to enjoy poverty with no real civil rights for decades to come!

Now you must find a way to do that to the US, but again, no worries, the DNC is doing a bang-up job!!

Would the neocon military-industrial complex and CIA accept anything less?
Maybe not. How much agency does Trump have in this, in your opinion?

It just seems sudden to me, from a president that campaigned on non-intervention.

Violence was never intended for Greenland all Trump wanted was limited Sovereignty mineral rights and expanded military bases. He got all of that. You dont understand how Trump negotiates, He is a master using OODA-Lupe strategy.
The Cuban people support Trumps goal to depose the communists
The Iranian people support Trumps goal to depose the homicidal
A majority if Arab nations joined the Abraham Accords and support Trumps changing the balance of power in the Middle East.
Iran is determined to set off nukes in America and Israel. All they need is small bomb a backpack and few suicide bombers which we would have no way to stop unless we stop them now. Millions of lives are in the balance

Here is somebody who agrees that the the days of the Zionists and Neocons are near to being ended .

Without both America and Israel the decent people can then get on with the task of bettering life and and actually caring about others .

Really good question. I suspect Donald is bored and sees the US military as an entertainment vehicle. Basically its a toy to him. He will keep playing until he dies or is dragged out of office. Probably will attack Somalia, Syria, or the Sahel region (Niger/Mali) as his next playground.

Trump is a CEO by trade, CEOs actively manage to grow the company or country, its what they do.
Trump is never bored, he doesn't even sleep much.
When someone enters the Oval Office with a problem, Trump automatically grabs the phone to call the one who can fix it.
CEOs are problem solvers...
Greenland is an underutilized but very important strategic landmass, that he thought about claiming.
Panama was a strategic US territory that China was capturing, until Trump stopped them.
VZ was a criminal enterprise with a strategic oil reserve until Maduro was arrested
China is a strategic competitor who was unopposed until Trump started rolling them back.
Trump designated drug cartels terrorists, who killed 400,000 Americans during Biden's term, still waiting to see them get hit

Trump does not waste US lives, he sees what happens in Dover, he acts strategically to improve the US position.
Iran was developing a nuclear weapon and ICBMs. Trump stopped them. Another strategic win.
Cuba is a communist state too friendly with Russia and China, so Trump strategically will do something about it.
You can dislike Trump, but the guy is an energizer bunny for the strategic betterment of the USA.

Notice I didn't moralize about the conflicts themselves. That was intentional.

I'm pointing out an inconsistency between his campaign promises and what has actually happened, and asking if these interventions will continue or escalate. What are your thoughts on that specifically?

I think he's a person that cares about legacy and knows he's on the clock, so he's going to do as much good (from his perspective) as he can before the ride is over. He wants to impact things, to shape the future. I think that works as a propellent. I just wonder where it goes.

Its vital to the world that the most dangerous government never have nuclear weapons. How hard is that to understand? When millions of lives are threatened you do whats needed. Thats what is happening. You are making a moral judgement youre just hiding behind a refusal to make a stand

I don't hide. If I had a moral argument to make I would make it. I'm genuinely curious what else he might do while he's in power.

Is Cuba a nuclear threat? Was Venezuela?

The EU took the Greenland thing seriously enough to send troops.

I'm not saying he's wrong for those things. I'm saying there's an inconsistency between what he said and what he's doing. So it's hard to map where he's going.

Look at the big picture. Trump has changed the balance of power in the Middle east away from Iran uniting the more peaceful Arab states with the Abraham Accords. Thats historic. He has changed the balance of power in Central and South America by freeing Venezuela from a communist tyrant and at the same time pushing back Iran Russia and China from their bases in Venezuela. Panama has stopped China from control of the canal. Cubas dictatorship is about to collapse. These are major chaneged in the balance of power away from socialism communism and violent Islam in favor of American free market capitalism and democracy.
The question you need to ask is why is the democrats party opposed to this. Focus on what important. Get out of youre safe zone

Okay. Is he done with intervention after this? If not, what's next? Do you acknowledge that he changed his non-intervention position?

In a fight you escalate continuously until the enemy is defeated. Basic strategy of Krav Maga. Called retzev move forward never backwards
“Retzev is Hebrew and translated means “continuous motion”… Retzev is a concept that urges the Krav Maga practitioner to utilize and harness the natural power in movement throughout both defensive and offensive initiatives within a self-defense technique(s)” (Kravology). Essentially, Retzev as it pertains to Krav Maga is not a physical, tangible thing, rather it is a principle, a guiding philosophy, a means to achieve a goal i.e. successful defense to thwart an attack and ideally escape.
