What's next after this 2 trillion dollar pork bill, how about 3 trillion more?

He bought it up in a couple of SOTU's.
I’m sure he got great applause for doing so.

Which is all that he really cares about.

The actual work is someone else’s job.
Well yeah...contrary to what the left wants, the USA is not a dictatorship...the President can't just create and enact an infructure bill on his own....it takes Congress...both chambers to do the work in creating one and getting it to his desk.

In Feb of 2018, Trump proposed a plan to Congress, $200 billion in federal funding and $1.5 trillion from the private sector. Democrats opposed this plan because of its emphasis on state and local funding and private investments....and they were still to focused on overturning the 2016 election

Trump again met with Dem leaders at the Oval Office, in the Spring of 2019....but the Dems wouldn't pass the replacement, agreement for NAFTA, because they didn't want to give Trump a win....so it failed...mind you later Biden admitted it was a much much better deal then NAFTA...but the Dems continued to play politics and were still trying to overturn the 2016 election

So, it's not as if Trump wasn't working and trying....it's just when one party, the DNC, put party over country....it's hard to get much done
Trump was not "working and trying". 200 billion in Federal funding is like shoveling horse shit up a hill. The private sector? Nah, that idea would be tied up forever.
And nobody was focused on "overturning the election" because Trump won, just like Biden won. The Dems immediately blamed Clinton due to her dislike among the people, especially women.
The agreement for Nafta was on his desk when he took office. All he did was to tweak that agreement which had created 800,000 jobs within the first 5 years.
That boosted economic growth, profits, and jobs for all three countries. It also lowered prices for consumers. During that time, the United States increased its exports of goods to the other two from $142 billion to $549 billion. ... NAFTA boosted trade by eliminating all tariffs between the three countries.

Contrary to what the Trump supporters are trying to sell, Democrats are well aware that Congress must approve an infrastructure package.
Contrary to what Trump is trying to create, the US is not a dictatorship, and his bad behavior cost him the election.
1) yes, Trump was concerned about federal spending and came up with a plan for a federal/private plan....it was starting point, but the dems didn't even bother
2) no they dems immediately came up with a Russian conspiracy hoax, and ran with it for years
3) Nope, the USMCA was not on Trump's desk.....the Obama/Biden admin did nothing to fix our trade deal in North Amerca
4) Yes, there some positives to NAFTA, but the USMCA is a much better deal, which was the goal of the President....even Biden admitted it was a much better deal
5) well the poster I was responding too didn't seem to understand that
6) how did he do that? By trying to work with Congress???

1. No, Trump had no interest in an infrastructure repair plan--hence the little bone he presented to Congress.
2. Dems and the Russian interference had nothing to do with infrastructure. Your flapping about a hoax is just flapping and nothing more. Let's not forget Trump's private meeting with Putin and his asking Russia to turn over the Clinton Emails.
That Trump called it a hoax doesn't mean that it is a hoax, but it is a Trump deflection.

Ok I will bite, show us what donors will benefit from this bill other than the American people.

You should read the whole thread. Who is going to do all this infrastructure? That's right, union workers. Who do the unions contribute money to? Democrats. Environmental investments. Who do environmentalists donate to along with their associated organizations? Democrats. Where is this money going to go to bail out cities and states? That's right, those states in massive debt like California; Democrat states. Speaking of Democrat states, $100 million for yet another Train in Silicon Valley. Don't they have enough money to make their own trains? A new bridge from New York (Schumer's state) to Canada? Yeah, that will decrease Covid cases in the US.

$135 million to the National Endowment for the Arts, $135 million to the National Endowment of the Humanities. Who do they vote for at election time? $10 million for the "preservation and maintenance of Native American languages." It takes 10 million dollars to preserve a language?

It's been estimated that only 9% of this money being spent will actually go directly to Covid in treatment, vaccines or testing.

Under Trump's Administration, America's National Debt Has Increased by Nearly $7 Trillion (newsweek.com)

Economists have pointed to Trump's signature legislative achievement, the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, for pushing the national debt upward. The tax cuts, which largely benefited the wealthiest Americans and corporations, left a significant shortfall in tax revenue. The Congressional Budget Office projected in January that the annual deficit would be about $1 trillion going forward due largely to Trump's tax cuts.
Under Donald Trump's Watch, the National Debt Increased by $7.8 Trillion (newsweek.com)

And what were the economic results of that? It wasn't Trump taking care of his voters like this nonsense is. The richest people in the country are hard left libs.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Looking beyond the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill, President Joe Biden and lawmakers are laying the groundwork for another top legislative priority — a long-sought boost to the nation’s roads, bridges and other infrastructure that could run into Republican resistance to a hefty price tag.

Biden and his team have begun discussions on the possible outlines of an infrastructure package with members of Congress, particularly mindful that Texas’ recent struggles with power outages and water shortages after a brutal winter storm present an opportunity for agreement on sustained spending on infrastructure.

Democrats passed a $1.5 trillion package in the House last year, but it went nowhere with the Trump administration and the Republican-led Senate. A Senate panel approved narrower bipartisan legislation in 2019 focused on reauthorizing federal transportation programs. It, too, flamed out as the U.S. turned its focus to elections and COVID-19.

Biden has talked bigger numbers, and some Democrats are now urging him to bypass Republicans in the closely divided Congress to address a broader range of priorities urged by interest groups.

During the presidential campaign, Biden pledged to deploy $2 trillion on infrastructure and clean energy, but the White House has not ruled out an even higher price tag. McCarthy said Biden’s upcoming plan will specifically aim at job creation, such as with investments to boost “workers that have been left behind” by closed coal mines or power plants, as well as communities located near polluting refineries and other hazards.

DeFazio said General Motors’ recently announced goal of going largely electric by 2035 demonstrates the need for massive spending on charging stations across the country. Biden campaigned on a plan to install 500,000 charging stations by the end of 2030.

It's been written about that the Covid bill is around 90% pork that has nothing to do with the actual virus itself. Billions of dollars for nonsense like mass transit in Piglosi's state as well as a bridge to Canada in Shoemakers state. Now it's time to spend more money catering to their construction union supporters.

With the Republicans virtually helpless to control spending, we could very well find ourselves with a 4 to 5 trillion dollar additional debt within the first few months under this administration, mostly pandering to unions, environmentalists, and a host of Democrat loyalists. 500,000 charging stations by 2030? At this rate, the US will be Venezuela by then.
If Piglosi is successful in funding the BART extension to her techie friends Google, FB, Twitter etc., She'll come back for more funding for the CA boondoggle high speed train to nowhere.

I don't care if she wants to repay those people for doing things like removing conservative posts from social media, getting Parler kicked off line, even if it was temporary, but let her do that with her own money--not the taxpayers.

Trump's bad behavior cost him the election, no matter what. Mail-in voting is one way to vote, and Trump short-stopped the Postal Service. Didn't work.
Who was stupid that voted by mail-in ballot? Nobody who I know. Stupid are those who look for excuses to justify a loss.

Oh, you mean like the Russians did it, subservient women who were forced to vote against Hillary by the commands of their husbands, the FBI director, third party candidates, Bernie Sanders, Wikileaks, the Democrat National Committee?

If the queen had balls, she would be king. Green energy has to become a part of our lives because fossil fuel is affecting our health and climate change demands a different approach. Fossil fuel ain't goin' nowhere. The private sector doesn't willingly accept change and is making an effort to bring green energy into the equation. With Trump, it all about money in his pocket. Computers and phones are not needed. Energy change is needed.
No, Trump reduced taxes on the super-wealthy--a huge mistake in a growing economy. With interest rates at an all-time low, and the wealthy investing their
increased wealth in the stock market and increasing the national debt by 2 trillion dollars, What do we do when the economy tanks? There are no arrows left in the quiver, thanks to that fool you elected.

Oh please, the feds are who was responsible for the economic turnaround with DumBama. They pumped trillions into the markets.

The only people spending money on this BS that will be happy are the kook environmentalists. We don't need green energy. It will come at it's own time. You know what will be accomplished by turning the country green with these measures? The same results as the last 100 things we did for the environment. The environmentalists will still be crying about global warming.

Why don't you people come to the realization that this global warming is a myth, and can't be controlled by man. As we have seen, global warming is nothing but a bottomless money pit that can never be filled, even with every green dollar every American has.

Oh yawn. Do you have a total lack of knowledge of economics? Have you even taken Econ 101? Electricity is the future, green and renewable sources of energy are replacing jobs in Coal and Petroleum; not replacing, rebuilding and repairing our nation's infrastructure in not fiscally responsible. With more high paying blue collar and technology jobs more money will circulate and the tax fraud of 2017 will need to be modified by adding more than the two top brackets deleted by the lame duck Congress led by Ryan and signed by trump.

If the Republicans' have their way, we will see another housing crisis, more homeless, more unemployment and a greater divide between the haves and the have nots.

The US is being forced into green energy against our will and using our tax dollars. We did fantastic under Trump using fossil fuels. If there was the slightest advantage in using green energy, government wouldn't need to subsidize it.

So why are we going to dump trillions of dollars into green energy nobody wants? Because they totally support the Democrat party. It would be the same if we were in power and wrote a bill for gun manufacturing subsides so more Americans could buy a firearm for self-defense.

As I stated above, you are out of touch with reality. Below links blow your comments about renewable and green energy as nothing more than hot air:

In our garage we have a RAV 4 Hybrid and a Chevy Bolt EV. We have panels on our roof and our electric bill averages $1.00 a month, the EV has never needed gas, tune ups or break service. It will go 220 miles on a single charge.

Fiat currencies can promote growth in their beginnings and kept under control. Used only for bad times. But we kept the spending going in good times since the last thread to gold was cut from Bretton Woods in 1971. The social programs ramped up hugely from that time and social security and Medicare was starting to get many more of the aged. We had ample opportunities to tweak all of this and get more value for the military/industrial complex also. The spending is out of control. And only the massive printing of obscene amounts of fiat currency is keeping the economy looking like there is nothing wrong. Real interest rates under true economics should be at least several per cent minimum. The real interest on the debt to be paid yearly should be at least a few trillion dollars.

How about a $10,000 stimulus check? :omg::rolleyes::auiqs.jpg:

" In a last ditch effort to counter the $1.9 trillion coronavirus package passed by the U.S. House of Representatives in the early hours Saturday morning, frustrated Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar submitted an amendment that slashed non relief spending and offered $10,000 stimulus checks instead."

Sure. It's like this $15.00 minimum wage debate. Why not make the new minimum wage $25.00 an hour?

Of course it's part of vote buying again. Minimum wage people are usually kids or of course people with little income. Many parts of this bill are catered to likely Democrat voters. We will all have to pay for it, but why would any Democrat care about that?

Sounds great, until those solar panels go bad and have to be replaced. If it actually saved any money, people would flock to it like birds to loaves of bread. Oil companies are funding green energy? Let's look at that:

Oil Company Tax Breaks?

Both leading Democratic candidates have referred to tax breaks to oil companies:
Clinton, July 23, 2007: First of all, I have proposed a strategic energy fund that I would fund by taking away the tax break for the oil companies, which have gotten much greater under Bush and Cheney.
Obama, June 22, 2007: In the face of furious lobbying, Congress brushed aside incentives for the production of more renewable fuels in favor of more tax breaks for the oil and gas companies.

Both candidates are referring to H.R. 6, the 2005 energy bill that contained $14.3 billion in subsidies for energy companies. However, as we’ve reported numerous times, a vast majority of those subsidies (all but $2.8 billion) were for nuclear power, energy-efficient cars and buildings, and renewable fuels research. In addition, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, the tax changes in the 2005 energy bill produced a net tax increase for the oil and gas companies, as we’ve reported time and time and time again. They did get some breaks, but they had more taken away.

How did I lie? I'm just repeating what Hillary said as to why she lost the election. Need the site? Let me know. I have it right here in my bookmarks.

Schools? Yes they are sending money on that. But who do the teachers unions contribute to come election time? I don't know about where you live, but here (and in most parts of the country) the school is funded via property taxes by local citizens--not the federal government. Property taxes do not decrease amid a pandemic. We still pay the same amount of money to the schools as we did during our best economic times just over a year ago.

Police and fire? Where is the earmark in the pork bill for that? Democrats are proposing helping their failed Democrat cities and states across the county who have been putting themselves in a hole years before anybody even heard of Covid. Given their stance on de-funding the police, do you think any police department in commie cities will see one dime of that money?

Trump didn't leave behind a disastrous economy, Joe's buddies in China did. This is how the White House will look in just a few months.

The relief money is going to promote evil. Once we bail out the schools that have destroyed our education system with critical race theory and the 1619 curriculum, the dumbest generation will be fated to becoming even dumber, more radical, more communist and 100% more Democrat..
