What you believe that Jesus did not...

Son of Man = His humanity

But Psalms was written before the NT.
Psalms is much of a prophecy of Jesus, I believe there are around 90 references in Psalms of His coming and life.

Sorry I can't help more but I recall the Son Of Man reference from my Confirmation classes and that was long ago

I understand your position, but to my mind Son of Man is not referencing an individual.

It's in reference to Jesus, His humanity, so sayeth the nuns LOL

Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Being a non Christian I find this highlighted text ambiguous. What exactly is, Son of Man?

Psalms 8 : 3-7
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

son of man? get the Hebrew term and I will let you know. The term for a human person is BEN ADAM----which means "son of adam" by direct
translation. I have never come across anything which would be translated BACK
into Hebrew as "son of man"------there is no such term that I know of----so the Hebrew is probably "BEN ADAM" anyone out there KNOW more than little
old me?. The Psalm does come in Hebrew-------I am too lazy too check it out
in ------my book of psalms right now

sorry lassie------it ain't so in Hebrew literature-----in fact that terminology never
changed-----BEN ADAM ---still means "human person" -----on DIZENGOFF

can you provide some real examples in actual literature? I would need it in
the 'original'----Hebrew or Aramaic -----which, of course, I cannot produce
right now either. I do have a complete book of psalms in Hebrew----somewhere--
in my collection of STUFF------------I will look for some examples sometime when
I develope ENERGY. I still believe that someone translated the term
BEN ADAM to "son of man"---------but that term simply means "human person"----a direct translation is "son of adam"-------- "son of a man" ------would be "ben ish"
or even "ben gever" ----I think. Adam----besides being the name of the first
MAN-----kinda also means something like-----earth ------ie the stuff we walk on.
The word for EARTH-----is ADAMAH

OH I got to the Hebrew that OZMAN presented-----YUP---the term is BEN ADAM-----still the common term for 'HUMAN PERSON'. We homosapiens is BEN ADAM (s)----or more
accurately B'NAI ADAM ---children of adam

I'm referring to the question of why was Christ called Son of Man and also Son Of God, I gave the explanation I was taught and have no interest in trying to dig up Hebrew text. In the Catholic Church we believe Son Of Man refers to Christ's humanity

Yes I see what you mean, but in the quoted texts Son of Man is refering to one who has communed with G-d.

Paintbybymbers is confused.
Not in the slightest, Gentile. Do tell, why didn't your Lord preach to your kind?

Matthew 10

2These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
5These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,a drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Seems as though the "Christians" are having a tough time explain why Jesus cared only about Jews, and just his kind of Jews actually. How curious, or not.

Actually jesus did not even care about the jews in general, only even more delusional tards interested in his neo-Essene sub-cult. But jesus hated non-jews just as all jews did. The contradictory material, Mithra myth madness and assorted apologetic rewrites of the new testament applied to jesus is one of the greatest hoaxes in human history.

Well they're certainly having issues explaining how their "savior" never tried to "save" them.

Paul is the true founder of Christianity, he let the gentiles in while Jesus never gave a damn about them...

You guys might be on to something. Lets see if there is any scriptural support for that...

Jesus clearly said that he came to bring a sword. Matthew 10:34. Revelation 19:15 clearly says that the sword was intended to smite the nations. Jeremiah 25:15 clearly identifies the sword as a curse under the appearance of a cup of wine that will cause insanity.

According to scripture Jesus said, " Take this cup of wine and drink it, this is my blood, the blood of the covenant."

Then in revelation 16:5,6 it says, "Just art thou in these thy judgments thou Holy One who art and wast; for they shed the blood of thy people and of thy prophets and thou hast given them blood to drink,"

Looks like Jesus (and his neo-Essene sub-cult) had something else in mind instead of submitting to crucifixion because he (or they) loved the Romans so much.

The Jesus story is a parable about the evil of community, and the danger of shaming the brutes.

I see both the Thought Police and Christianists as the devil's agents. They both use community to harm those who are different.

Women are especially guilty of this. As portrayed in monty pythons Life of Brian. In the stoning scene.

"Christianists"? Is that anything like "Christianista"? Or perhaps simply, Christian?
