Don't forget that the rent paid would be what you can afford.
Not a bad deal, buy a house that you can't afford, lose it, pay much less in rent than your mortgage would be, and top it off with the government paying for maintenance and up keep.

History has proven that there is always a segment of the population, albeit a small one, that either cannot or, more frequently, will not take care of themselves. And it is this segment that we must cater to, no matter what the effect on the remaining population. Thats why we need Universal helathcare. 200 million covered is not enough, when you consider the ten million that need the help....

They may force you to drive below a certain speed and drive on the right side of the road.
They may force you to stop throwing your garbage in the middle of the street
They may even force you to wear clothes when you appear in public

The forcing to school is the only one that doesn't involve other people's lives, laws are to keep you from negatively effecting other people's lives, they are not forcing you to do anything because ... on your own property most of them don't apply. Forcing kids to go to school and punishing the parents when they don't is stupid though.
