From what I’ve seen here you’ve got to have an incredibly narrow view of the world with no desire to ever expand your horizons.

I like to think it’s mostly schtick here but the longer I’m on here, the less confident I am of this. A lot of MAGA types act so much like garbage that you have to wonder if it is all a show or not.

I don't think it's a show at all, far too many of them are way too comfortable expressing their misogynistic & racist thoughts and feelings in a way that is not acceptable in polite society so I think they use this board as an outlet and way to beat up on those they believe are inferior to themselves, for whatever reasons they believe that to be true.

The topic isn't sexuality. Misogynism is defined in the first line of the OP.

Hostility towards an entire group of people because of things that you are unable to resolve in your own life is wrong, especially if you take actions to exact retribution from individuals who have done you no harm.

Think about the implications of Trump stating that women who have abortions have to be punished and the Texas law that was passed that would allow anyone to file a civil case against any party involved in having or assisting a woman in getting an abortion where there are statutory damages of $10,000 per offense. That alone has the potential to create a cottage industry not much unlike bounty hunting by people who are not involved in any way with the pregnancy. You don't have to be the father or the sperm donor, just someone who wants to punish women and get paid for doing so to boot.

This is just ONE scenario.

You do realize that Barack and Michelle both ostracized young Black males for being misogynists, right? Given the stressful home lives that most of them had, I suppose it stands to reason.

They come from all over.

The thing is do we want such people running the country?

Really the people you want running the country are people who are going to improve the country, and even this isn't "that person and that person", but a lot of it is down the electoral system and how people find their path to power.

The current system is massively open to people who just want to get as much out of it for themselves as they can. Proportional Representation, much less so.

Women prefer smart, funny and handsome to dumb, dull and ugly. Some guys got it all. Usually they are women haters.

I reckon that the ones who don't have it all are more likely to be resentful of women.

To be frank and objective, some things must be recognized. Every male had a mother. Women make up at least half the population. If there are a significant number of "misogynists'", it cannot be purely the fault of the males. The fact is, we do a lousy job of integrating what we know about psychology into how we educate (raise), children, both male and female.
