As soon as people start working again, we can unload all those ships, and truckers can drive them to warehouses, and food will appear on shelves again.

The wet catfood area is the only consistently empty shelving in the stores I frequent. Don't ask me why. It makes no sense to me, but has been like that for about a month and it cuts across the various brands as well. Picked clean.

Other than that, they might not have my preferred brand of things one day but usually have it a few days later.

Now Dollar Generals' laundry detergent aisle are always cleaned out, but I suspect they may not be restocking them often.

And finally, if the toilet paper aisle is empty, yeah that was probably me

Eggs come from local producers you know?

Last year they were going for 35 cents/dozen at Kroger. That price has more than doubled.

A few years ago Walmart started a price war against Kroger on food staples in an apparent attempt to put Kroger out of business.

In another thread some time back people were talking about raising chickens. I was thinking about doing that and checked the city's local regulations. I can have up to seven hens within the city limits, but no roosters.

I've got a lot of property out in the country and the neighbors are Mennonites. Horse and buggy type Mennonites (don't call them Amish, they hate that). They invited me to their Mennonite church men's fellowship breakfast. It was the first time I ever had farm fresh laid eggs. They were delicious. A lot better than the eggs at the grocery store.

We didn’t even have this type of food scarcity at the height of the COVID pandemic, in Spring 2020! With that said, what three basics were you unable to get at your most recent adventure to the grocery store now that Biden has made such improvements to our country?

I‘ll start. At my grocery run this afternoon, I wanted and could not get….

1. Cream cheese - the entire shelf was bare except for one tub of strawberry flavored
2. Eggs - again, cleared out
3. Plain bottled water - not a one
