power! So I'll take the NRA any day, thank you very much.
I was a Republican for the first 30 years after I was old enough to vote. I voted for Eisenhower, Goldwater, Nixon three times,...even Reagan once. When Reagan slashed tax rates to 50 year lows, continued to spend like a drunk sailor and quadrupled the national debt to fund it I went twenty years and didn't even go to the polls. I've voted Democrat three times in my lifetime and I might never vote again but one thing I promise...........I'll never vote Republican again. All they do is cut tax rates for their rich buddies and borrow the money to cover the shortfall. That's not very smart.
When Obama took over the debt was 12 trillion. He's had the lowest spending of any president in the last fifty years but he has had to go in debt to the tune of about $7 trillion in order to pay interest on the Reagan/Bushes debt:
