The police officer and husband of the slain teacher actually had his gun taken away and was escorted off the premise by force.
I don't see this entire event as incompetence, myself. There was purpose involved.
No outrage?
There is joy and celebration.......school shootings are Christmas day to gun grabbers........each dead child is a gift under the gun control Christmas tree.............they pray to their god, government, for each day to have a mass public shooting at a school.......they get more mileage out of dead children in a school than they have had since the 1990s Columbine incident.....when they used those dead children for the Rifle ban........
This time....they get more gun control, and they got the 14 republicans to undermine the republican party going into the midterms........
I'd bet my wiener it was stand down orders and I believe most if not all are govt planned and executed. People also don't think anything of the crisis actors that are at a shooting, then seen again at another shooting. I am about as disgusted as I can get with the people in govt.No one seems able to swallow the possibility Uvalde police were ordered to standdown and let the killings happen. Even fewer folks seem able to swallow the possibility the whole event was planned. I for one cannot fathom people's blind faith in government to do the right thing despite years and years and years of our government caught red-handed again and again doing evil. I suppose people at large need to believe in a fairy tale benevolence of their government. I also suppose that's how government stays intact and in power.
I'd prefer having dedicated security instead of teachers pulling double duty. What about veteran teachers?
And there is a difference between asking those with a CCW if they WANT to carry, than making it a requirement for all.
I'd prefer having dedicated security instead of teachers pulling double duty.
No, they didn't and they couldn't without unduly risking almost certain death. The price was paid again for allowing assault rifles to be used by mass shooters.God have mercy on their souls

Either you are ignoring investigation reports that say within 15 minutes the police had enough firepower and ballistic shields to end the shooring or you're just making shit up.No, they didn't and they couldn't without unduly risking almost certain death.
Yes, and the kid was strategically positioned with children at his back. Mass killers shouldn't have access to assault weapons. That was the only way to minimize the damage.A half dozen heavily armed and body armored trained officers against a single 18 year old with a semi automatic rifle?

Unless the root problem of America's culture of wars and killing is addressed.
Americans don't care and easy65 makes that attitude abundantly clear.
No one is.I'm a teacher. YES please. Please don't ask teachers to carry;
This is where I ask you to demonstrate your claim to be true; you will respond by tucking your tail and running away.Mass killers shouldn't have access to assault weapons. That was the only way to minimize the damage.
Ah. You are ignorant of the fact the shooter did not use an assault rifle. The price was paid again for allowing assault rifles to be used by mass shooters.

Neither Canada or the US needs to uninvent guns. All of the world's modern countries that aren't at war do fine, except for your country. Then you have to uninvent firearms, good luck with that.
Meanwhile your own PM says you Canadian subjects don't have a right to defend yourself.
Baaaaaaa

The key to saving your children and citizens from the slaaughter is in the changing of attitudes that produce the 'culture' of wars and killing.
The conversation on this thread is much more about racism and hate than it's about guns. That explains the reluctance to even make sensible changes that could save lives without having any negative effect on gun owners.
I would bet that Canadians have more freedom with their guns than Americans do now, as America has descended to 58th. in the world on 'freedom'.
I'm talking about meaningful freedoms and not necessarily the freedom to intimidate others by dressing up in camo costumes and carrying an assault rifle.
Can you people leave the racism and hating out of the conversation and get back to reality?
You make no sense with your silly comparisons. Grow up and stop celebrating death.A woman in West Virginia stopped a mass public shooter armed with an AR-15 with her concealed carry pistol…she wasn’t a cop or a SEAL….
The cops had body armor and their own AR-15s…..the democrat party police chief failed
And an AR-15 is not an assault rifle…..
