Why would protestors be arrested in the first place? Because they were no longer protestors they were now rioters.

The image of American livelihoods burning and being overrun by mobs while Democrats sat passive and/or threatened US with more of outcomes don’t go their way - the US Capitol riot pales in comparison. If the perpetrators’ true intent was to overthrow Democracy it was the most laughable, poorly executed coup in World History. It was also the one and only time I’ve ever seen Democrats and the Left not lose their shit when a stupid unarmed law-breaker refused to heed commands from police and was justifiably shot.
