I disagree with the cellphone. There are too many life-saving and potential life-saving events in which a cellphone was used to override whatever bad comes from them.

Nukes? I might be able to go along with that. But I also know that there has not been a conflict between major world powers since the first nuke was detonated.

I live for the day when the microwave will be equipped with an algorithm that ALWAYS stops the carousel with the coffee cup handle pointed outward.

I was OK with cellphones when they were status-symbols - like in Wall Street and Gordon Gecko in the 1980s. The size of a shoebox.

Now they are drug-dealers best friends.

As far as nuclear weapons - your point is pretty much true.

But watch Fail-Safe and Dr Strangeglove over again.
