What should be the guidelines for making appointments to high offices?

This is just another area where 'wokeness' has hurt and is hurting America......most particuarly in our National Defense.

We have an affirmative action minority member heading up our National Defense who as a former General of no accomplishments or demonstrated competence has been placed in a critical position.

Prime examples of his incompetence.....the debacle in Afghanistan and his current failure to supply Ukraine with the needed weapons to stop Putin's adventure.
