Enhance physical security at school campuses and outlaw gun free zones and pass national reciprocity.

Most school systems have already done this. After Sandy Hook, things improved nationwide.

I went to attend an IEP meeting with a friend's child at a local elementary school last school year. I was held outside the building for ten minutes because I buzzed in, stated my business and waited to be buzzed in. The door lock would not open. It took repeated tries to even get in. Once inside they copied my ID and issued a visitor's pass with my DL picture showing on it. I was held in the outer office until I was escorted by someone from the school. When I left, I had to surrender the ID back to them.

Tell me how a school shooter is going to get in.

You do realize that in 2017 Trump signed a law making it easier for the mentally ill to buy weapons. I am glad to see you and other MAGA s are coming around to see that he was wrong to do so and would like to see the Obama rules reinstated.

you do know that Obama's bill allowed number crunching cubicle workers to label people that couldn't file their own taxes from buying firearms, right?

You are comparing the EU multi-party craziness to the US locked-in 2-party voting system.
I assume you like the open multi-party system of the EU to the closed 2-party US system.
3rd parties always fail in the US, always. So why waste your time or money? I won't.

I'm trying to explain to you why the US is not Proportional Representation.

Seems I failed.

note how all the Trumpsters want more mental health care even as their fuhrer cuts funding for it,

We didn't think you deserved to get any more care. You're kind of a lost cause.

How about NONE OF THE ABOVE?

Mass shootings is a social and cultural issue and not a gun issue.
  1. Take progressivism, PC, DEI, wokism, and CRT out of society.
  2. Put religion back in the classroom.
  3. Allow parents to beat their kids again.
  4. Allow teachers to beat their students again.
  5. Return gun education and training back into schools.
  6. Eliminate idiotic gun free zones.
  7. Eliminate progressivism from our media and start teaching discipline and accountability again.
  8. Give children their innocence back while fostering real opportunity for them once they get out of school.
What does every other first world nation do?

That one case in Nashville was a case of pure revenge. That girl wanted to kill the administrator who had raped her repeatedly and nothing had been done about it....he didn't lose his job and she was forced to continue going to school there..when she finally aged out she became trans boy, bought weapons and went after him.
I live right outside Nashville. Where did you dream up this fantasy?

No....been a minute. I used to live there and there were several newspaper articles covering it that dragged out forever concerning the subject....the FBI refused to release the "manifesto" that likely confirmed the rumors surrounding the situation. They took custody of the manifesto away from the police....

But Nashvile is a large little town and the rumor mill went into overdrive. Especially when other allegations of sexual abuse by this administrator came to light because the parents refused to sign NDA's.
More evidence came out as well about the "too busy to deal with this" parents who had zero abilities to deal with the deteriorating condition of their daughter. Basically they listened to every crackpot "expert" advice given to them from lousy but expensive psychologists including that of the school's BOD that promised it would never happen again....
Why would you lie about such a serious topic as this?

So, all you have is rumors!, Disgusting! If you don't recant this bullshit, you should be placed on ignore by any decent human being.

The "Great Compromise" is enshrined in the Constitution. The EC is there forever. Whine all you want.

That is how democracy works. A win by one vote is as good as unanimous.

If one party gerrymanders, the other party has to in order to be competitive.

Same as the "winner-take-all" EC in a given state. Remember that the US began as a membership of independent states, not as a federalized country.
What a load, pretending that the US electoral flaws are perfection in proportionality. You've got the system you deserve.

I'm on-board with restrictions to ownership of firearms.
For example, anyone under treatment by a mental health professional automatically gets "red-flagged".
Anyone taking powerful meds, like trannys, get red-flagged.
Anyone who gets flagged for online threats, gets red-flagged.
All non-US citizens get red-flagged.
More importantly, parents need to be held legally responsible if they don't report a potential shooter.
Maybe those who have a PFA filed against them get red-flagged?

Maybe you can think of more, but this keeps access for law-abiding citizens, but should exclude those most likely to be a shooter.

To me "red-flagged" means that the FBI is notified to refuse permission to purchase a firearm, and the local law enforcement agency is notified to collect all of their firearms.
Hilarity. Tell you what, why not do something like the nations with much lower firearm homicide rates where firearm ownership is not a right?

Kidding

Just kidding.

There are 2 kinds of mass shooters. Black gang shooters and school and workplace shooters. Black gang shooters are the result of no father in the home. School shooters are 100% a mental illness problem. Both are the result of democrat policies. They support single mothers. They allow violent mentally ll kids to refuse treatment and stay in school.
What a douche.

OK, I believe you, but we are not going to multiple political parties like the EU has any time soon, probably never.
The two party system is as "proportional" as it is going to be, including the Electoral College.

It's not proportional at all. If it were the US would have at least 6 parties in Congress.

And no, it's not going to change. The rich like a system they can control. They like not having to worry about voters too much. They like giving them the choice of this guy they own, or that guy they can't, and then throw money at the guy they do own.

Democracy in the US is almost non-existent. Obviously there are anomalies out there, like Trump, but they can still control Trump, and still use Trump.

The Koch brothers (minus one) put a lot of money into it, but they still supported Trump because Trump would give them the Supreme Court picks they need to cheat.

If the voters actually wanted any semblance of control over their elected officials, they'd have to stand up for it. But they don't even know what Proportional Representation is because the rich haven't told them, and won't tell them.

Pretty sad that most people have no idea what's going on.
