What say you, Congress, on war in Iran?

In a Republic, actually
ā€˜Despite the scale of its military assault on Iran, the Trump administration’s reasons for entering into war have been inconsistent and vague, from regime change to the destruction of nuclear weapons, preempting military action by Israel, or the more chilling decree of following ā€œGod’s divine plan.ā€

Politicians, pundits and even social media users have been quick to point out the contradictions of these justifications; regime change is impossible from the air, especially when you kill the alternatives, and weren’t those nuclear weapons already destroyed?

But the ā€œwhyā€ for entering into war matters beyond scoring political points.

Why, and how, a president engages in military action has serious implications for the constitutional authority of any wartime action and, specifically, whether Congress has any hope of checking the warmaking of a president.

This Republican Congress has no desire to check this warmongering president.

As with most everything else, Congressional Republicans have abandoned their authority concerning war to the Trump regime – Republican cowards fearful of retaliation by the regime for opposing Trump’s illegal war.

And so, the waste of billions of dollars, munitions, and American lives continues.

Of course, it’s not just Trump, it’s Republican cowards who facilitate Trump’s corruption and crimes.

What about the 46+ year old 'military assault'/asymmetrical proxies war/assaults by Iran upon America(USA) and other Western powers ?

Do you consider Iran's warmongering legitimate ?

Do you think Iran's targets of it's warmongering should not defend themselves, should not retaliate in kind ?

Why do you support Islamic Jihad, and it's victims should only take the blows but not defend and/or respond with counter measures ?

Please contemplate these questions during your five times a day bows and prayers toward Mecca.
