The priests went woke as every man did what was right in his own eyes.

The fear of God was absent as sin was not seen as destructive to society anymore.

Then when moral decay enters society as a result, tyranny is just around the corner.

I think he is confused on the Bible's message.

The Book of Judges shows that after Joshua, without a central authority, the Hebrews had no central authority. they turned on each other.

Not that the priests 'Went Woke", that's just absurd.

You want to bring up the old testament and then say this?

'Woke' had nothing to do with it. It wasn't so much that sin was not seen as destructive to society anymore, as it was that people decided sin was subjective--that what was sin to some may not be seen as sin to others. Each individual could decide for him/herself what was right for them, and what was wrong. This led to dissension and chaos in society. They wanted a king to decree what was right and what was wrong so that society might come together and live peaceably among themselves again.

When your brains is on meth, everything seems "woke" to you.

The issue is wanting to make sinful man king over you while rejecting a righteous God.

Wokeism or all the other various replacements for God is of little importance.

"Have you received the state as your lord and savior?"

Your understanding of these ancient accounts is flawed. The Israelites crafted narratives of historical events to teach lessons about the covenant, obedience, justice and Israel's special relationship to God. Google it.

The old testament is immoral defined.
That's because you want it to be, not because it is. They weren't recording a fairy tale, they were recording their history. It should be apparent to anyone who isn't an idiot or a bigot that the Israelites believed God was on their side and crafted narratives of historical events to teach lessons about the covenant, obedience, justice and Israel's special relationship to God. Google it.

What you are intending for evil, God is using for good.

You only say that because I am destroying your gas lighting fun with logic and common sense.
You would think that. Narcissists usually do.

You are the narcissist, TN. I corrected your misunderstanding of ancient accounts. I explained to you that the Israelites crafted narratives of historical events to teach lessons about the covenant, obedience, justice and Israel's special relationship to God. Maybe try googling it.

Narcissists have a major problem with being corrected because it threatens their fragile ego, triggering deep-seated feelings of shame, inferiority, and inadequacy, leading to defensive reactions like rage, denial, gaslighting, or contempt, as they genuinely believe they are superior and rarely see themselves as wrong. They view any correction as severe criticism, not helpful feedback, and will often retaliate to protect their self-image and avoid acknowledging imperfection.

No, you make stuff up to justify the silliness. I argue the bible. There is a difference.

Because it couldn't be possible that the Israelites believed God was on their side so they crafted narratives of historical events to teach lessons about the covenant, obedience, justice and Israel's special relationship to God?

No. You come here demanding everyone read these accounts literally so you can gas light them because you are a narcissist.

Narcissists frequently gaslight as a core manipulative tactic to maintain control, boost their fragile egos, and make others doubt their own reality, memories, or sanity, fostering dependency and power over the victim. It's a common behavior for individuals with narcissistic traits or Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) to protect their self-image and feel superior.
