And i doubt that many American women wear one

I had one. It was given to me by a friend from Saudi Arabia. I used to wear shawar kameze frequently. I had about a dozen. In Los Angeles outside of banks usually were 3 or 4 completely veiled women standing around waiting for their husbands who were in the bank.

I don't know where or how he acquired the Burka. He was from Saudi Arabia and brought me a white Burka and a Quran, at my request. I felt rather ghostly when I put it on.

Did you not pay attention? Laguna Beach. I have seen some in Los Angeles as well. The Westside is the Muslim enclave. The corner of Wilshire and Westwood is known as Persian Square.

Now to south aways and you get to Cerritos. Pioneer Blvd. Is a major Islamic shopping district. You can get anything. It's where I got my sharwar kameze. It also incorporates goods from India.
