Anyone who thinks Government should be able to seize all of the money that people have earned over their lifetime instead of that money going to who the person wants it to go to...is going to have ZERO problem also taking as much of people's earnings as they possibly can! For people like you it's ALWAYS tax the rich! It's not no limit on earnings...it's no limit on taxation!

The poor end up being taxed to a far higher percentage of the money they need than the rich.

They have equality in this nation. Equality is not what they want. They will tell you that they want EQUITY which means the want exactly the same as people who have worked for their wealth without working for it.

IMHO, equality encompasses equity but includes social and judicial equities among other things. But yeah, mostly it's about financial equity. How can you not value superior talent and effort, or reward inferior performance with the same paycheck? It makes no sense.

The Government already taxed you when you were making your fortune...why should they have the right to tax that AGAIN just because you died? They didn't do anything to EARN that money!

You're preaching to the choir. I don't agree with taxing estates-period. As you point out, the taxes have been paid, there is no reason they should be taxed again.

That might be the dumbest piece of advice I've ever heard, Initforme! If your work ethic is good and your wages don't reflect that...then you need to look for an employer who WILL pay you what you deserve! Dogging it at work because you don't think you're being paid enough isn't doing anyone any favors...especially you! When I ran businesses I was always on the look out for great employees who weren't being taken care of by their employers. If you're giving less effort? I'm not interested in you. If you're giving it your all then you're the person I'm looking to poach!

You just keep on coming with the bad career advice! Quitting jobs with no notice is almost as self destructive as not working hard because you don't think you're getting paid enough! You don't like your job? Look around for another one. Don't quit with no notice. That just tells prospective employers that you're not reliable. My advice to any young people out there is to NEVER do that! It's ALWAYS easier to get another job if you're currently employed! Tell the prospective employer that the job you have now isn't a good fit. Don't bad mouth your old employer.

I hate to break this to you, Winger but very few workers start their careers "educated" to do the job they'll be doing! There is almost always a training period during which the business is generally paying two people to do one job because the "trainee" needs to be taught how to do the job by first watching the trainer do it and then by having them watch as they do it! When I had a trainee? I seldom was making a profit off of them. It was costing me money. Money that I understood had to be spent if I wanted a competent staff but money that was spent without a guarantee that the trainee would work out.
