Because he knows what's contained in those documents will most likely end any hope he has of running in 2024. Worse, there are most certainly top level Republicans that he had contact with on that day and the days leading up to Jan 6th named as well. That has the double whammy of a punch in the nads for the Republican party hopes in 2022 and 2024.
