That all depends on the safety net. When times turn desperate, people are subject to bad temptation. Pain, Starvation, misery, index.

I don't want anybody to be poor.... I just don't believe you eliminate poverty by impoverishing people for life in a web of ill-conceived social programs that do nothing but beget more poverty and more social programs.

Follow the Constitution, as it was written, not as it is being manipulated. We prospered just fine under it until 1912 when progressives decided it was time to create their own laws. More and more each day it seems like the only way to have social order the way the founders intended it is to ship all these communist/socialist/marxist,progressive bastards to france, where they belong.
