Zone1 What is Heaven Like?

I imagine it as greatness. But of course, it depends if you believed it or not.

I cannot imagine anything beyond blissful joy and learning every day. What else could paradise hold?

Life is all about learning and using what you have learned. Our souls merely take that up to new, unimaginable levels - the same as aviation, movies and cell phones would have been to the ancients.
It's everything you'd want it to be, because it's the dream being sold to you by con artists on Earth. They can say whatever they like, and people will want to believe.

Yet, no one can prove or disprove, hence the term "faith".

As much as I dont believe in UFOs or monsters, I've had my own experiences, unexplanable, from strange telepathy with someone else to a real encounter with a premonition of a fire that started externally from some guys doing work outside. This when I was in my 20s and literally a couple days later it happened, totalling our home.

Oddly, there was significance to the fire which I wont rehash but the signs were so strong that I asked my mom the next day if she smelled smoke the night before. I had smelled it and saw flames under my doorway, the doorknob felt hot and I pulled my hand back from the heat, frightened. I finally opened the door and there was nothing there, but darkness. Then just a couple of days later a real fire occurred...

I will never forget that night as long as I live. I KNOW what my senses picked up and there is absolutely no explanation that science could use. Multiple, tangible signs.

It's these types of experiences that confirm to me, "we don't know what we don't know".

It can only end if G-d or the victim forgives.

There are many more who will require my forgiveness than vice versa that's for sure. All we can do is make up for our sins, ask for forgiveness by those we've wronged. G-d demands this.
I see it a bit differently. It seems true repentance (a complete change of heart) has to be first. Next comes complete knowledge/acceptance what is due the victim, family and loved ones, and society. What is due is justice. Mercy is the victim, loved ones, and society deciding if any part of justice due might be set aside.

There is a shortage of chairs.

Is belief enough? Do individuals actions matter?
Of course our actions matter! Why would they not?
Verses include: "Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, for with the same measure ye mete withal, it shall be measured unto you." -Luke 6:38

The Holy Bible's wisdom is affirmed by contemporary science everywhere you look.
I describe many of these correspondences in my book.

You are wrong on many counts, for many reasons.

Anybody who has been seriously engaged in scientific work of any kind realizes that over the entrance to the gates of the temple of science are written the words: 'Ye must have faith.' - Max Planck

While nothing like a fire, I have had a couple of similar experiences. My theory is based on a rock tossed into a quiet pond and ripples extending out in all directions from the point it hit water. Like yours, my experiences had that strong emotional component. I wonder if a strong emotion can hit our senses much the same way, where ripples extend in all directions--past, present, and future--hence that causes the premonition. No way of scientifically proving this, of course, but I've often wondered if it might be a plausible explanation.

When John had his out of body experience then returned to his physical body he described the heavens of all things, as a city! That really shocked me as I had the preconceived idea that the heavens were endless crop fields with purple mountains in the far distance & loaded with creatures galore. But just a freaking city like wow where are our all important creatures??? We currently reside in a 3-1/2 dimensional continuum of height, width, length & half of the dimension of time. Who knows how many dimensions(frequencies/waves) exist just between dimensions 1/2 & also between dimensions 2/3(think side band CB radio)? Just to complicate the matter our spirit(soul?) is non-physical dependent, meaning it could be classified as a different dimension in itself or @ least from a different dimension(not sure on this one). If true we humans could be classified as 4 & 1/2 dimensional creatures!

Sure, nobody can disprove a fictional story because it's set in an alternative place that doesn't exist.

But.... the problem is, we can show it's not real, because it came out of human imagination. Why would someone have said "heaven exists" in the first place if they could never, ever have been there?

The logic proves it's not real.

Thank you! I got that owl at just the right time, at just the right angle.
Yes U did! It sounds like U may have/had the lil guy as a wild but domesticated to U/family only yard/farm pet?

Atheists will get what they believe (nothing beyond this life), and so will christians
The true atheists may be getting a LOT more than they bargained for once they part with their physical bodies!

That's what Leibniz called "We live in the best of all possible worlds" = a world which we can make better (and worse). Imagine one day you will know all possible questions and all true answers and you say to your wife "I love you as I loved you billions of years ago - but I do so more wise now." And she will smile at you and your heart will smile with her.

By the way: What's the difference to suffer a storm or to be the storm on the own?

Wrong. Heaven consists of tarmac pathways, provided with fountains spewing ham sandwiches at periodic intervals, leading to menageries housing paisley horses with miniscule nubs on their bums but no discernable tail of any consequence. The purple mountains you speak of have been flattened by gigantic Yetis that roamed the heavens many centuries ago, two and a half weeks (to the day) after Noah stepped ashore.
