Debt on it's own has no effect on currency. In fact, the dollar was never higher over multiple consecutive years as it was under Biden. When he left office the dollar index was 109 and it was so for the last 3 years in some degree. The meant the dollar was strong every single year. Unsurprising, since the world sees the value and security of the dollar against every other currency. It has since dropped from 109 to below the baseline of 100 due to Trump's stupidity and screwing around with out economy.

Against other currenfy who are also manipulating it and in debt. And endless game built on cards that will eventually fall. They have every intension to Reset all of this and then SAVE US FROM WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.

Bessent made noise the other day about how the Treasury -- not the Fed, but the Treasury -- could step in with its own QE.

Until recently, conventional wisdom had it that the Republicans were the party of free trade while the Democrats were more inclined towards protectionism. There were always gaping holes in this characterization, as we never came close to free trade when the Republicans had power, and Democratic presidents often pursued a bit of trade liberalization. But it was probably fair to say that, on average, Republican politicians were more sympathetic to free trade than Democratic politicians were.
