What Is Defined As A Weapon Of War?

calm down folks----it is a problem because it is a weapon that can KILL
KIDS IN A SCHOOL ROOM
So can a 9mm Berretta.

VT shooting 49 were shot with 32 dead. With hand guns.

A Glock and a .22 Walther PK were used.

The semi auto sports weapon known as a AR 15 style weapon is nothing special.

It fires an intermediate round. Not high powered. There have been complaints about the military round for decades. It is semi automatic.

The round is so useless the military is changing assault rifles and rounds:

Just look at yourself. I mean you gun nuts are such a damn hoot. I mean how many times have you seen it posted. Two pictures, of two guns, one is an "assault rifle", the other is not. Can you tell the difference. And then, here we are, gun nuts playing the same game. Here are two guns, one is a "battle rifle", the other isn't, can you tell the difference? Now a battle rifle has to have select fire capabilities. What a crock of shit. As if it makes a difference when you are hiding underneath a desk in your fifth grade classroom.

I don't go nuts. I have 2 decides of experience with the M 16, a real weapon of war. It is a select fire (semi and full auto) and shot expert with it every time it was my assigned weapon.

The weapon YOU fear fires an intermediate powered round that is not very effective in modern times.

Son, I don't hide. I would love for you to come at me on this topic because I will embarrass you. Bad. In the Ary I was a UH-1 crewmember with an extra duty as an amores. I don't a punk like you explaining battle rifles (which the M 16 wasn't) to me.

Bring it on, civilian. I'll be back tomorrow to see what you got.

You folks do realize Harris just claimed she's not taking anyone's guns away, and in the next breath supports buy backs........~S~

Wow. I am so scared. Doubled down on stupid I see. Select fire, is that wherif e you want to hang your hat?

so, if I "buy back" your car, am I taking it from you?

Not unless you're going to war with unruly gophers and groundhogs. Otherwise, I'd rather have an M4 carbine.
For almost anyone, a full auto weapon is a waste of money. It takes a lot of practice to fire rock and roll effectively.

True, it's only good for suppressive fire, which is why the military went to a three-round burst.

Go back and read the definition I posted, witless wonder. Select Fire is the switch that allows you to choose safe, semi, or full auto. If you are going to attempt to discuss this with me please learn the subject material.

If you use the coercive power of government to "buy back" my car, leaving me no choice in the matter, YES.

So damn what. You entered this thread talking about the AR-15 not being a weapon of war and there it is, 1962. Project Agile, IT WAS FLIPPIN CREATED AS A WEAPON OF WAR. The damn military was singing its praises, how effective it was, how much damage it delivered. Now, more than fifty years later some snot nosed little pencil dick wants to pretend the AR-15 is not a weapon of war. Lame.
I have two children who are in the military now. I did my time in the Army. My Father, two Uncles and maternal Grandfather all went to Vietnam. Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force.

Do you know what all of us had in common ? At no time where any of us issued a fucking AR-15.

I'm just asking because an AR-15 definitely doesn't qualify. I just checked.

A question -

Why do you think citizens in a civilised society need/want to walk around in public with an AR-15 or AK-47 etc..?

Aside from a few protests or rallies, hardly anyone ever does that, even if it's legal in many states.

Most gun folks in permit states just carry a concealed handgun. But here in Wisconsin, I have seen the occasional open carry of a handgun by individuals who probably don't have permits. It usually makes for good conversation about gun rights or politics.

I would imagine that in the UK, to see someone with a pistol strapped on them would make everyone bonkers. :laughing0301:

You can own an AR-15 in the UK as long it's not gas chambered (only difference to the American version) but in a sensible society, you don't wander around with them, hence the crazy US statistics. We're very much more sensible in the UK -

I'm surprised the guy in the video showed his guns etc.. but I did notice he kept out of camera view because we don't advertise the fact which guns you own, being identified, where you live etc.. for sensible reasons. I noticed he wouldn't have the ammo out at the same time, good gun safety.

No offence to Americans, but they're fucking clueless on what guns the Brits have. I'll repeat that, fucking clueless.
