You know, just 25 years ago I was against guns and for gun control. I often donated to the cause. I would have been fine outlawing all guns and probably even going door to door to take them away so that only law enforcement would have guns.

But, when 911 happened it hit me like a ton of bricks what the 2A was all about and what our founders thought about it. It was like a huge slap in the face to me to wake me up and realize how important 2A was and how no country anywhere was ever going to take over the US because even if the worst of the worst happened and the president of the US surrendered to someone like Hitler, Putin, or radical Muslims, citizens around the country wouldn't give a shit that the president surrendered the country. They would have guns and would fight tooth and nail in the streets for our freedom. Just the fact that other countries know all this is enough to stop them from even thinking about trying to take over the US.

On top of that, the left have really pissed me off for quite some time now about letting all the criminals run around loose and then want to keep guns out of their hands at the expense of law abiding citizens. That's just nuts.
