What happens when we tax the rich.

Exactly what kind of food doesn't require labor? Magic beans?
Many foods now require high-tech 'labor'. Many immigrants head straight for the building trades, something that should never have been allowed to happen. There are millions of immigrant POC that are no more than squatters here. Not good.

We had/have a pretty sweet system going where illegals picked our fruit and we got cheap goods from other countries. I guess Americans won't make money working for a cell phone company making thousands of phones. And I guess Americans will have to find other things to do besides pick fruit. Trust me. Kicking illegals out only means Trump better start letting more Mexicans in legally. Are you good with that? I am. I don't think your side is. I think you want them to stop letting in immigrants so your wages to cut my grass will go up. Less immigrants means more white owned landscaping companies. Who want to charge a lot. Too much.

We also gain a trillion a year from trade. We aren't hemoraging anything. We are the richest country in the world. The richest people in our country are making a killing.

What they won't do is pay you Walmart workers a decent wage. They'd rather automate and have a robot do the work.

So you aren't going to artificially fix this. AI is coming for your job. And wages are coming down. I'm so glad my nephews both go to college and I'm old and rich enough to not have to suffer the future I see coming.

P.S. Trump cut off foreign aid and China. Now the farmers are fucked. So he has to use the money he saved to bail out the farmers. Maybe that's why Biden/Obama didn't do what Trump's doing. Ever think of that? Smarter people know better
Welfare recipients should be required to do the work that "Americans won't do."

FED Tax revenue is ~$6T. They are getting it from somewhere you DUMB OXYEN.

Research where it comes from and shup your silly BS. I will guarantee not a lot is coming from those making $31K or less married joint in the gosh darn ghetto. Or single bangers selling ganged to HS kids.

Most unemployed welfare recipients should never be allowed anywhere near those jobs. They deliberately **** themselves up so they never have to work again. Anything they touch they **** up as well. Best to keep them well-fed and out of sight.

Make companies like APPL onshore AND build housing camps on-site. Get ghetto volunteers to move to these sites. Train them. Pay them. Get them started on a bank account. Illegals can do it why cant joes butt buddies in CHI do it. Move to the factory site. Go to work on company bus or whatever.

APPL types have freeloaded this country long enough. Same for agriculture sites. Go to work dammmeeet.

Think outside the box you stupid tree baboons. Do something!

OK, then take their 7 kids roaming the streets. Teach them to do the work illegals would do. Leave fat mana at home. Cut her check down if the boys move off to work in Lincoln slaughterhouse.

Inner city black boys are heading for prison mainly. We need to keep them there longer than we do. Prison work crews can be formed to do some of the work of immigrants. However, they should be paid the same wages, not the $1.25 per hour that they now get.

The trouble with the rich and the tax code is that the tax on wealth is low or non-existent, while the tax on income is high. Those who's labor provides their income are hit with the highest tax rates.

I prefer no tax on wealth at all and that all actual income be taxed equally, regardless of where the money comes from. I'm for a single tax rate but let's not discriminate one source of money over any other. If we've to level the field, it should be level in all regards.

For example, the federal tax liability should be no less for a person inheriting $90,000 than for somebody who has labored to earn $90,000. A tax base universally broad and wide provides the ability for the lowest tax rate needed for federal revenue.

They already tax inheritance? Correct?

In addition to the federal estate tax, with a top rate of 40 percent,

Welfare recipients should be required to do the work that "Americans won't do."
I'm telling you, if you catch me on the right day or the right frame of mind, I can agree with a lot of what you cons say. I think Papageorgio made a good point when he was lying to me the other day. He said Republicans simply wanted people getting healthcare to be working at least part time. Let's say for a second papa wasn't lying. He may have heard that somewhere. Lie or not, I think it's a great idea. If you are healthy and can work and make so little you qualify for free healthcare, then you have to be working to get it. I have to work to get my healthcare so why shouldn't they?

So for example, a person working part time at Walmart would qualify.

We can't give slackers anything. It just encourages bad behavior.

Very rarely as the statistic I saw:
  • Taxable estates: In 2023, an estimated 4,000 estates were expected to pay federal estate tax, out of approximately 2.8 million total deaths in 2022.

For agriculture it is the same thing.
Well for one, doesn't sound like he eats veggies a lot. Not recommended but okay. Maybe he goes to Farmers Markets. I'm going to Detroit's Eastern Market this weekend. It's amazing how cool and fun downtown Detroit is. You can compare it to any other big city. On the waterfront? Forget about it! Beautiful.

Money is taken from people that produce goods, services, and employment and is given to people who don't.
Tax the rich excessively more than anybody else, and all you do is encourage them to shelter their money and assets off shore, to move their enterprises to other countries leaving only those businesses in the USA that they can write off most or all the income.

Tax the rich excessively more than anybody else and you encourage them not to build, increase, expand their enterprises here in the USA which means fewer good jobs, lower salaries, fewer benefits, less opportunity for other citizens to become rich.

Tax the rich excessively more than anybody else likely results in them not giving so much in philanthropy for new hospital wings, museum exhibits, foundations/research centers, sports facilities for kids, etc. and that makes all of us poorer.

Tax the rich excessively more than anybody else and they will put less of their money into American banks for others who need it to borrow to buy that new car, a new mortgage, investment capital for their own businesses, etc.

The rich provide jobs, opportunity, investment, philanthropy, valuable markets for others that the poorer Americans cannot. I doubt any of us was provided a job, much less a living wage, by a poor man. And reduce their ability and incentive to invest in America and it invariable hurts those who are not rich as well as mean less revenue for the U.S. treasury.

George H.W. Bush lost his second election due to breaking his campaign pledge of no new taxes. He believed the Democrats would keep their pledge to cut spending if he agreed to the tax the rich We did get about $50 million in immediate new revenue but we didn't get the spending cuts. And the new taxes decimated our domestic boat and private plane building industries and high end jewelry businesses by driving them off short, costing many thousands of American jobs.

We should appreciate and encourage Americans to become rich, not punish them for their wealth or be fooled that we'll get all the golden eggs if we kill the goose that laid them.

The poor help to keep the rich wealthy by buying their stuff. If the poor and others would save their money for affordable homes these homes would pop up like spring mushrooms. Mortgage rates would drop like a rock as well.

Few people can save enough to buy a home unless they wait until they are middle aged or old and some can't even then. Those who establish good credit ratings can move into their own home much sooner by taking out a mortgage that will almost certainly be less than the appreciation on that property if the government and banks are using sound lending policies. That allows the net worth of the home owner to increase.

Home mortgages for the most part are one example of profitable and beneficial borrowing.

But take away the savings of those who have it to save, and there is much less opportunity for the less rich to do that.

You simply cannot confiscate the wealth of the wealthy without hurting the poor more than any benefit the government might realize.

In that case, to qualify for continued welfare payments they should submit to sterilization. I do not want the congenitally unemployable to die of starvation and disease. I do not want them to spread their bad genes either.

That's because homes are so expensive. We need to build affordable homes for the lower income folks. Even a small home will improve the quality of life for people and is a steppingstone for wealth building.
