When i worked at McDonnell Douglas before Boeing took over, i got to see how the union guys worked at the F-15 plant. They did no more, no less than what the contract said. That is mediocracy. We have by far the hardest working most responsible workers in the world. Can't get much greater

And you want them giving everything they have for a lousy employer? Get real. One must save plenty of energy for after a laborious 8 hour shift. When i worked at McDonnell Douglas before Boeing took over, i got to see how the union guys worked at the F-15 plant. How about the non union people who have to work two jobs just to make ends meet in Camel Toe Harris's economy? Do you think this strike is going to make it easier for the harder working American, or do you even give a shit about them? A friend wants to know...And you want them giving everything they have for a lousy employer? Get real. One must save plenty of energy for after a laborious 8 hour shift.
I'm good with compromise. I do support a pay raise for them as well. We all should. How about the non union people who have to work two jobs just to make ends meet in Camel Toe Harris's economy? So you hear the term corporate greed all the time, yet these dock workers seem to make over $200,000 a year. They were offered a 50% increase of $100,000 along with other benefits, but they turned it down. Is it greed to want too much money while hurting everyone else around them?I'm good with compromise. I told my sons they need to get into computers because it is the way of the future. I went from Analog instruments in the A-10 to digital flight controls and RADAR in the F-15s and then complete fly by wire in the F-16s with computer programmed flights with a pilot there to take off and land only. You adapt to the new, not complain about the old, or you will be left behind. The problem is this strike is also about robotics and AI... and there is no way the companies will give that up... and they shouldn't because if we want to keep up with the rest of the world we are going to have to accept robotics and AI...
