He seems so be operating in a no mans land at the moment. He spent all that time working on a bipartisan bill only for musk to kill it late on.
He is struggling to unite a fractious group but is setting trumpers against conservatives.
Its not even clear that he has the support of President Musk.

Will he be on the way out in January ? Who will replace him ? It seems an impossible job.
