Russia is very close and that gives them an advantage. They are a threat.
Russia is “very close”, by what means, exactly?

Their Black Sea Fleet has been badly degraded by Ukraine using little more than drones. That’s not a force capable of projecting power into the Arctic, let alone seizing and holding Greenland.

The U.S. already has a military presence there, plus the ability to project overwhelming combat power from the mainland. That’s before even factoring in NATO and the fact that any such move would immediately trigger treaty obligations from multiple nuclear-armed states.

In other words, it would make zero practical sense and would be functionally impossible.
There’s only one country currently threatening Greenland, and you’re living in it.

We can only hope Russia's failure in Ukraine will prevent them from any more invasions. But Putin is unpredictable and pathological. He could swiftly take Greenland then what. Destroy it driving him out. Think of a hostage situation. Think like Putin. In our minds its insane but not in his

As opposed to Trump, the “stable genius,” who is actively willing to undermine NATO, the very counterforce that kept the USSR, and a power bloc vastly stronger than today’s Russia, in check for 75 years?

You’re justifying radical escalation against your own allies, based on hypothetical insanity from Putin, while ignoring an actual, explicit threat coming from the current U.S. president.

Again, there is only one unpredictable, pathological leader threatening Greenland at this moment, and it’s the one sitting in the White House.

Dude NATO countries as we speak are sending troops to Greenland to OPPOSE the perceived threat of American troops invading.

Stick your head in the sand as much as you please. But in general alliances don't react well when the countries in it perceive each other as threats.

There is no threat of America invading

Well they do not have complete independence now and could have if they wanted to... they need a larger nation for many things including security....
What Trump wants is their cooperation with us and for them to keep China and Russia out....
For that we will make their lives better...

We have bigger fish to fry than trying to acquire Greenland at this point imo. I laughed when I heard "NATO" was sending troops to defend Greenland from a US invasion. IF they do, it will be a drive by, a shrug and then back home.

You know some of the possibilities.
I am for the status quo, improved a bit.
I want it moved to the coast of CA. The melting ice will flood the leftist infested coast and eventually be a beautiful island with excellent weather

We have a base in Greenland.

If Putin were to attack that would be little different than actually attacking the mainland

Stop saying stupid shit

Sure that's why all these troops are being sent. That's why Denmark and Greenland are having meetings with Rubio.

That's why TRUMP IS SAYING OVER AND OVER THAT GREENLAND NEEDS TO BE IS TERRITORY.

The ability to gaslight really is amazing sometimes.
