Possibly that they understand the oil drilling/production industry shut down during covid shutdown, while there was a glut on the market, but did not crank back up with the rest of mfg industry and retail businesses and workers returned to their work places, at a time when other countries around the world were cranking back up, also. It created high demand on the international market, boosting profit on lower supply, benefitting that industry on the backs of consumers. Of course the vast majority of us, never experience $7.00/gal gas, in the first place, just as we did not, in Tennessee, though we are not a big producing state. Of course, that industry, industry observers/monitor, financial observers report, we are now producing more than ever before in this country. Actually, they report more than any single country ever produced in the history of petroleum production in any country. Of course, as you know, there is no domestic petroleum market, as it is, by congressional law and international agreement, an international market, protecting producer's right to sell and export on international market to the highest bidder. Maybe they are also aware, as are producers have increased, other countries with government controlled product, cut back their production, to keep prices high, benefitting those governments, those producers, as it is much more profitable to produce less, but sell at higher price, with a much greater return on investment, as lower production means lower production costs and much higher profit per barrel or gallon, explaining why petroleum producers are enjoying higher profitability in every country. Maybe the dumb democrats took basic business and economic courses and passed them. Who knows? Of course, I paid $2.05 as I know how to shop, and am a Kroger shopper. Heck, I don't pay the top rate, even when vacationing, as I use Gas Buddy and look ahead, long before I have to refuel. Many people do not, even many normally intelligent people on here.

As long as they are not being discriminated against because of their choices, I’m not sure why we have to place special emphasis on putting anyone, regardless of their sexual preference, in a certain position.
