Zone1 What does The Chosen People actually mean?

The covenant made with his church does not replace the covenant with Israel. They serve two different purposes. The covenant with Israel was NATIONAL only. The covenant with the Church is a spiritual covenant
God has no covenant with ancient Israel. He divorced her; His covenant now is with Christians.

So says xtians.

I have yet to hear anything about that from G-d.
Perhaps you should have consulted Hosea instead (1:2-9). Or better, Jeremiah (3:6-8).

And of course Christians believe it, as this is what a Jew named Jesus said about it, pretty much iterating the prophets:

And they took him and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard. What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others. (Mk 12:8-9)

And

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. (Mt 21:43)

Perhaps history also would have been worth consulting, as ethnic Israel is extinct, essentially killed off in the Jewish wars, the few remaining expelled from Judea to lose their identity in the diaspora.

You haven't heard of the most famous Jew in history? And you're a Jew?

Have you heard of Hosea and Jeremiah? Do you know history?
I know who was. A Jewish carpenter from 2,000 years ago. A minority of people think he was a form of Gd, but most people don’t.

I definitely think he existed.

There isn’t a single contemporary reference to him in history. Anything written about him was by people who were born after he was said to have died. Sometimes hundreds of years after.

That's what some say about your Moses.

I've heard of him. Am I just more informed?

Because I don’t care what you think or say about Moses. It doesn’t affect me.

You obviously care deeply what I think about your Jeesus.

jesus is who the jews decided to be killed than their true love barabbas ...

- regardless of jesus the 1st century events are the repudiation of judaism's false commandments, hereditary idolatry, religion of apartheid - et al.

what those people as jesus ...

were willing to give their lives for the religion of antiquity taught by jesus through liberation theology, self determination - made obvious by true recorded history than false religious dogmas.

how is known accomplished as there has never been an event for the world to know there would be a being as the desert describes when in fact all in the heavens are similarly alike, living gods of their own making and doubtful any are desert dwellers.

Well, that's just demonstrates that the heavens have denied you comprehension, denied your entry into the everlasting, for denigrating "desert dwellers" and for your professed belief in incomprehensible gobbledygook.

You fell for the ancient scam and bullshit story that human beings could all be living gods, of their own making, all equal in the heavens and all that you have to do is eat some rancid bread baked on human dung. Easy peasy!

Unless you take a crap, change your diapers, light a candle, sing a new song, cover yourself with dust and ashes, slap yourself on the forehead, and chant OWA TANA SIAM ten times you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

That's not true. Contemporary references to Jesus outside the New Testament include writings by Roman historians like Tacitus and Suetonias, as well as Jewish historian Josephus, who all mention Jesus and the early Christian movement within a few decades of Jesus' death which means they were all living when Jesus lived.

Aside from that I know someone who has in their possession used swaddling that Jesus wore in the manger.

All kidding aside, I would say the proof is in the secrets hidden and buried in scripture like treasure that Jesus revealed about the true subjects of Jewish law. No fictional character could possibly have ever done that.

Only a real person, a Jewish man enlightened by God, could have done that.

Suetonius and Josephus were born AFTER Jesus had allegedly died.
Tacitus’ “Annals” wasn’t even written until 116 CE.

No single contemporary reference mentions him.

You know that Jesus was allegedly executed as a low level criminal and sinful drunk of no account. Who would have written anything about someone that most people thought was deranged? If it wasn't for his friends no one would have ever heard about him or what he taught. Which mysteriously remains above the grasp of many.

Personally, I don’t care what another person believes. Worship rocks, trees, or a crashed cargo plane in the jungle.

The only thing I ask is keep The Jews out of it. We have our own faith which works well for us and isn’t meant to be spread around to increase donations.

Get your own damn religion and leave other people’s alone.

Apparently, all his friends were illiterate or just didn’t think it was worth writing down.

LOL...

It seems to me that the history of the Jewish people parallels exactly the long list of maledictions promised by Moses for turning aside from the way he taught to follow the law. Doesn't seem to have been working well to me.

Sincerely,

A member of one of the ten "lost tribes', who really were never lost, they just split after the great king Solomon bullshit era. Solomon who took 666 talents, 25 tons of gold from the temple treasury yearly, not to mention taxes, tolls and tributes, had over 700 wives, and beguiled and fleeced the entire Jewish population with a religious elite, glorified butchers who killed farm animals in the name of the Lord in a fancy schmancy gilded slaughterhouse.

For a very heavy price.

God so loved the Jews that he wanted his only son to be raised as a Jew
