What does Federalist 46 and 28 mean to "Liberals"

Hamilton stood for pretty much everything that most of this boards self proclaimed conservatives hate.

He believed in a strong centralized government, a national bank, high tariffs on manufactured goods to encourage industrial growth in the USA.

Most is not equal to all.

A functioning centralized government = good (when operating under the restraints of the Constitution), It was supposed to remedy the defects of the Articles of Confederation

a national bank = good (so long as it is not a private bank). Colonial Script worked, as did Lincoln greenbacks. Our country was fine from 1832-1913 without a private central bank.

High tariffs = good (only check and balance on free trade), it's meant as a system to break Mercantile abuse (like China today)

It's not the concept, it's how the concept is implemented. For instance, in the above sentence, it is proper to use high tariffs in order to defeat Mercantile policies of another nation, but it is abusive to high high tariffs to establish your own Mercantile system upon other nations.
