UK government should focus on Covid, not statues, campaigners say

The UK has the highest per capita death rate in the world and our entire economy is imploding under the strain of brexit.

And yet our conservative government wants to make big statements about fucking statues. This is classic deflection and a similar tactic was used through the brexit debacle. Get folk upset about Sir Bastard Slaveowner rather than the thousands murdered by this government.
