i ask all of my brothers and sisters this famous question from The Untouchables:
“What are you prepared to do?

I have heard a lot of talk here and elsewhere from 2nd Amendment supporters like me. How theywont turn in their guns, how it will be the next Civil War if they try to take them, I see hats with Mulon Labe on them and I see Gadson Flags flying.
But what are you REALLY prepared to do when they come? You have jobs, you have a family, a mortgage, are you ready to become an outlaw?
I have given this a lot of real thought. I have personally decided that yes, I am prepared to be an outlaw. I have a mortgage, I have a family but they are all grown and on their own now. I have a job that I love but will put in jeopardy. But I am willing.
The key I think is to defy the laws and not get caught. To have my guns and everything else too. I am making plans to that end.
This guy WILL
NOT COMPLY, EVER.
What are YOU prepared to do?
When threads are in danger of being hijacked by the left and I'm interested in the topic, I like to repost the OP and start over.
The reality is, a friend and I were talking a just two weeks ago about the 1980s. In those days I owned a pen gun (it was a single shot .22 LR) weapon that fit in your pocket like a pen and the clip that held it in your shirt would pop down and become the trigger. Most of you have
never seen a real one.
Others had AR15 rifles with a 12 gauge shotgun mounted underneath. How many of you have ever seen one? There was the Cobray MAC 10, the ppsh, and the shotguns made to look like the XM18. You won't see any of those guns any longer.
The Uzi, AK, and the SKS are all banned from import as well as the 8 shot Norinco .45 acp.
Some states have raised the age limit for buying weapons; the Lautenberg Amendment paved the way for ex post facto laws - and that will be finalized by the bump stock ban. There are
always methods to criminalize people so that they cannot own weapons - and what are we doing? We'll do the same exact thing we're doing in Massachusetts - nada, zilch, nothing.
The door to door, search and seizure scenarios will not be nationwide. IF they happen, it will be after they have registered most of the weaponry in a local geographic area and then go into one town or the other. It will be done on an
incremental basis.
The real answer to your question is this: What are
YOU doing now? Did you realize that the NRA has supported most of the anti - gun laws on the books? And, unlike the civil rights protesters, pro-gun people are too lazy and scared to use passive resistance and civil disobedience. If 50,000 gun owners marched on Massachusetts this week-end that would impress me.
And the question is, What are
YOU doing now about it? Burying your guns and allowing them to rot and rust? Making plans to tell Uncle Scam you lost your weapon or it sank in the river on your latest boat trip? For years I've been trying to find out what people were doing and what they
could do. It's been mostly wasted effort since gun owners have become knee jerk reactionaries and only worry about the issue when it makes the front page headlines.
What am I prepared to do? Until you exhaust all of your non-violent legal and political avenues of redress; until you've submitted solutions to the legislators that will solve the problem
without gun control; until you've left the Net and sit around a kitchen table with those of like mind, discussing this paragraph, face to face - then you will capitulate at some point.
