As of May 5, 2026, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that major offensive military operations against Iran, known as "Operation Epic Fury," have concluded, following a ceasefire established in April.

Can someone help me. Much, but not all, of Iran's offensive and defensive weaponery has been destroyed but the regime is still in control, Iran still has enriched uranium and the straits of Homuz are heavily restricted. They were open before "Operation Epic Fury".

Sec. Rubio was not at all “premature.” The portion of the war we fought was for a purpose, and that part is done. Purpise served! Iran has no capability anymore of producing atomic weapons. (They already had the ability to create dirty bombs.)

Oh. And add this to the list of stupid things you argue. The thread topic isn’t me or you, kid. It’s got to do with your claim that Sec. Rubio somehow “misspoke” in claiming that our military has completed its actions concerning Operation Fury.

He did not. One objective (the fury part) is met. Operation Fury is complete.

But, there is this real difference between the current military Operation FREEDOM and the former (but now ended) Operation FURY, beyond their respective designations. Only one of them currently exists. That’s Operation Freedom.
