And suddenly, the left not only doesn't complain about separation of church and state, but is a willing participant in mosque and state.

One wonders how many of these people are secret converts to Mohammedanism.

It's about aspiring to underdog minorities, not about Islam itself. Any group that they can readily fit into that box and turn into "persecuted victims that have to be saved from the evil opposition" fits the bill. Indeed now it seems to be switching from rainbow letter people to Muslims. It'll go on for a few years then they'll find another group to put first and foremost.
