There is a great book called the Cradle of life by the author Schopf. I will link you to his book. Schopf says life is composed of CHON and S and P. Elements in other terms.
Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen and at times also Sulfur and Phosphorus.
I use dirt as a term that encompasses all forms of life.
What else can you think of that creates human life?

Yeah. Why otherwise do our bodies need all those minerals?

physiology requires a spiritual content to survive and will dissipate into the atmosphere when the spiritual content is removed - the spiritual content is not dirt though may also dissipate when its physiology can no longer nourish the spirits existence.

or the spirit may evolve to survive on its own ...

Abraham 5:7
7 And the Gods formed man from the dust of the ground, and took his spirit (that is, the man’s spirit), and put it into him; and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
