Sounds like you're describing conservatives in general, "just because bad things happened in the past, that's no reason to stop them happening again now and forever", that's what conservatism is all about.

You would think decent people would take care of their poor. Yet the child poverty levels in Wales are still high at 29% and the Labour Party, in spite of their claims of wanting to decrease it, has done nothing to help lower the poverty rate among children.

Also, Wales death rate for minorities during COVID-19 is twice that of whites.

Seems that Wales wants to look good to others and don't give a damn about their minorities or children. Is that what decent people do?

Unfortunately 80% of available revenue comes from Westminster, which is run by Conservatives. Welsh taxpayers taxes go to Westminster, so there are limitations on what Welsh Labour can do, regardless of any good intentions. Given Westminster has cut back of every sector because of ideological "Austerity" most of the UK has suffered as a consequence. Blaming Welsh Labour for the rate of child pocerty, is disingenuous.
