Well, I failed to account for the stupidity of the masses

Oh, so very nice to see people complain about election processes and then do nothing whatsoever to change them.

No one wants change, they want entertainment. Elections have become roman coliseum events where we slake our bloodlust rather than an expression of governance.

On the bright side we get to see if my contention or yours was correct in the third party thread - weather or not Trump represented a genuine threat worthy of voting for Harris or just another politician taking us the wrong direction. :D
Yeah. It will be whimper, not a bang.

It's just that simple.

This county is dumber than I thought it was.

In fact, dumber than I thought possible.

You idiots elected somebody who is planning to crash the economy.

Enjoy your poverty and hatred.
Harris and xiden crashed the economy.

The people saw that.

Your fascist ideology failed you in that you wouldn’t believe them when they told you and you thought they were dumb enough to simply believe your propaganda and lies and not their own pockets.

But hey, you got some billionaires in the music industry and mark Cuban backing your party moving forward

Oh, we did not miss it. It was obvious that most Americans WANT an authoritarian. They cheer anytime Trump says he will do authoritarian things.

If you were to take fascist policies and give them to a Trump supporter they would support all of them. They just do not like the label.

Well, if the shoe fits.
I was being rather literal with my answer - he acts like a fascist. He has the preternatural ability to sense what his marks want and serve it up. But I'm not sure he really is. He just knows that shit turns on his followers. But if he follows through, to turn them on even more, it might not matter.

Basically, Olayemi nailed it...

The term fascist is problematic. Sure, there are papers and papers written on what fascist means but basically none of them really agree and they all have nothing to do with the term in its current form. Best I can tell, fascist simply means authoritarian right wing. The left blindly uses it because they want to attach right wing authoritarians to Hitler which is both pointless and tiring.

But it remains a question if you think Trump is authoritarian and I do not see how you can say he is not. Attempting to take the election is absolutely authoritarian. Trying to control the media, changing data coming from our institutions because it does no align with things he said, retreating to isolationism, using legal instruments to consolidate power, nepotism, demanding loyalty to him and not the nation and a thousand other actual actions, not just conjecture, that he has undertaken show that he is obviously an authoritarian.

You can say he does not have the power to be authoritarian and that is true but no one starts that way and the path to a dictatorship never happens overnight or with a single person. It is a long arduous road with a sudden drop at the very end. Kind of like cancer.

The problem is that no one recognizes authoritarianism anymore since the left is pretty damn authoritarian as well. The gulf there is pretty wide though IMHO as Trump is much more willing to take apart institutions and it is those institutions that make democracy possible. What he does with the DOJ and the FBI will tell us much in the coming months.

Ya, give up on America.

It is chickenshits like you that are the problem. Don't like it here, want to give up, then get the fuck out. Freedom, democracy and our way of life has ALWAYS had to be fought for. No one is willing to fight anymore. It should just happen because you want it to happen.

Sad though, this fucked narrative that the US is just deeply racist and sexist to its core does not win you elections yet you cling to that narrative. Here is a hint, no one is going to support your bullshit, try something new.

OK give it shot. You have four years of history to take from. Name a few of Trump's fascist policies when he was President..

We'll see the results of the fascism you're currently supporting in a few years.

I was right about the Bush II Administration and my views were unpopular during his regime.

20 plus years later, and everyone is pretending to not be down with Bush II.

The same thing will happen again with Trump.

Watch...

That's core to all this, in my view. Democrats like to isolate fascism and authoritarianism as ideologies that is specifically right wing, and for them it has more to do with the source of authority, rather than its scope and reach. For them, "authoritarian" means government action driven by a dictator. But they'll give a pass on similar government action if we take a vote first.

Libertarians see abusive, overbearing government as authoritarian regardless of its source.

Democratic authoritarianism often gets a pass because it's primarily focused on social engineering goals. Dictating people's personal activities is ok if it's "for a good cause". Republican authoritarianism is more traditionally fascist and overt - eg rounding up brown people for deportation.

In the definition of fascism it specifically says that a tenent is that it's "anti-Left."

You can look it up.

Never underestimate the stupidity of Americans, we both certainly did.

When you think Americans cannot be any more dumb, you wake up on November 6th and realize that yes, Americans can be even more dumb.

The deliberate dumbing down of America has paid dividends for the Republican Party and has, once again, paid off in a major election.

Americans that can define what a woman is won last night. Those who can’t lost.
Which is the dumb group?

Yeah. Lots of definitions to look up. I guess we can use a different word if you like. The meaning is still the same.

It's a core tenet.

Look in history, fascists have always hated, gone after and attacked the left.

Face it, fascism is a rightwing ideology.

Whatever. I can use a different word if it makes you feel better. I'm talking about the zeal for absolute government control of society, the primacy of the state in all things, collusion of government and high level business interests, scapegoating "enemies within", cronyism and corruption, etc ...

A lot of libertarians use the word "statism" instead. Would that work better for you?

I already did. You lack a connection with reality to identify them or the brainpower to understand any of them.

It is possible RFK, Jr is correct in that fluoridated water has made the whole country retarded.

My pet theory is that social media is to blame.
using that for your excuse?
