Their attorneys likely told them it's not nice to subpoena a President because it violates the separation of powers clause; they're already in trouble over getting the FBI to abuse the 4th Amendment, and they have no proof President Trump had classified information unprotected. It was protected by the secret service that protects the President, his property, home, and his family members 24-7-365 for life. Doh.
