I wanted to involve myself in a discussion forum on politics and related topics. I find it difficult to meet with and find intelligent conversation on various subjects as most people are (what i consider to be) less than informed.

I have a "government out of my life" view on things as I feel that I know what's best for me and our elected officials all leave office significantly more wealthy than when they started, which is a very bad sign to me. They're in it for them and only them.
