we have a strong team and a strong POTUS ! we have already minimized the spread !
We've minimized it? Sorry, but the rates are still climbing, and there are now towns like New Rochelle NY that are under quarantine. Sorry, that doesn't sound like anything is being minimized.
we shall see ... oh the numbers will climb but our hospitals will not be overwhelmed like those in China were .
The numbers will grow but not as fast as the numbers in the EU countries largely because the President took quick action to limit the spread of the infection with travel bans and to provide the resources and planning necessary to contain it. The early ban on travel from China and other countries with high rates of infection bought us time to build up our resources to combat this disease.
"Build up our resources"? Are you serious? We don't have enough test kits to go around, and some of the kits don't work properly. Never mind the fact that we don't have treatment options or any kind of a vaccine yet. And, the vaccine is anywhere from 12 to 18 months away. Exactly what resources has Trump "built up"?
We have more than enough test kits to go around. The CDC has shipped 75,000 test kits to the states and to date only a little over 7,000 people have been tested, not because of a lack of test kits but because a healthcare provider has to request the test and our rate of infection is so low few tests are being requested. In addition, the President has urged drug companies to produce more anti viral therapies and assured that these sometimes expensive treatments will be available to anyone who needs them. One vaccine is currently being tested by the FDA and several more will soon be available for testing, and the President has suggested he might fast track the testing depending on conditions. If conditions take a turn for the worse, it is possible we could have a safe vaccine available by September.
In addition, the President is taking strong steps to ease the pain the virus will bring to our economy, proposing strong measures to prevent economic harm to individuals and to businesses through this outbreak. No other country in the world has done a better job than the US in dealing with this virus.
