6. As for liberty, what has he done to protect the freedom and liberty of anyone, except of course for those who own guns.
1. He has done neither. But then, neither has any Democrat OR the President.

1. No, but neither has Obama. For 18 months he sat there and stonewalled the Republicans on Jobs legislation, proceeding to ram a disastrous healthcare overhaul and a costly failed stimulus plan down their throats.

2. Did he invoke the Nuclear Option? Or did the Democrats simply shoot themselves in the foot when and if the Republicans take back both houses of Congress?

3. Does he need to wish him to fail? No, simply because Obama has failed on his own volition.

4. What are you talking about? The PPACA is the disease. When you strip 6 million people of their insurance, are YOU "protecting them from disease"? Besides, the PPACA has done more to derail itself than Boehner has.

5. I could ask the same of Obama. He has spent more time campaigning than leading, and by doing as mentioned in No. 4, he hasn't done anything to "promote the general welfare" of anyone.

6. These questions are increasingly snide and utterly preposterous. Does passing gun control laws promote liberty? Does dictating to people their healthcare choices promote liberty? Does spying on and intimidating people with different political views promote liberty? So far, Obama isn't even hitting above the Mendoza Line where liberty is concerned.

Prove that Obama would have repealed it. Oh wait. He didn't. Therefore anyone who takes advantage of it like he already has, is as guilty as Bush is for enacting it. Anyone. Also, Clinton was was responsible for enacting the Echelon Project, which trolled U.S. telecommunications looking for trouble. The first President or Party that repeals the bullshit Patriot Act rather than renew it, strengthen it, and abuse it, that's the person who will convince me he or she wants to make "our nation a more perfect union..."

Losing the Patriot Act would only be the beginning, but it's a start and it would send the right message.
