We Need Government Healthcare Like Canada!

Yet it is hard to find a Canadian who would trade their healthcare plan for ours

No, it really isn't. When we drivers are waiting to get loaded or unloaded, we have our BS sessions. When Canadian drivers are around, I always bring up healthcare to see what their view is. Younger and middle-aged driers told me how much they love it. The elderly drivers told me that stick with what we have, or we will be sorry in our later years.

Now I understand you're not a truck driver up north where you have this opportunity. But just go to any one of our northern hospitals and see all the Canadian patients we have. My sister works at the Cleveland Clinic, and she can find you plenty of Canadian patients that will tell you they'd love to trade their plan for ours.

You attend a "BS session" and you think all that's said is fact?

The question that comes to mind is; Who pays for the "plenty" of Canadian patients?

That I couldn't tell you. Most likely themselves. But it's not "A" BS session, we have them all the time. Not much else to do unless you want to play with your cell phone. At times it takes well over an hour to get loaded or unloaded.

So you can wait 3 weeks after your general practitioner refers you to a specialist and 39 weeks for orthopedic surgery.

And Bloomberg says if you’re old, you can just die.

While Americans pine for 'Medicare for all,' Canadians look for US-style private insurance
I go back and forth on the health care issues. I don't believe that just because some individual made it rich through hard work and determination, that, that individual must be forced to take money out of his/her own pockets to pay for my health care, I'm not his/her responsibility; I'm my own or my immediate family's responsibility. However, when it comes to the very old or the very young, if those people and/or their families can't afford decent health care for such people, then and only then, should the government step in and ensure that they are provided a decent measure of health care. As for younger adults, they use health care less and as such, should provide coverage for themselves.

Then why did you write: "I worked with a guy who had to move to America because his pain level was a 7 and couldn’t be seen for months."

Freudian slip?

It's not that unusual and has been happening for quite some time.

Why Canadian premier seeks health care in U.S.
Millions of Americans do the same thing.
People are ditching US healthcare and flying to other countries for medical procedures they can actually afford
Americans still have to go abroad to get affordable health care

One of the sources is Salon.com and the other gives a few individual stories. But I love some of the places they list like India, Thailand and so on. It states over a million people a year go abroad, but also notes that it's mostly wealthy people getting facelifts and things like that.

The problem in Canada is they use Obama's philosophy: give her a pill. If you ever got cancer, what other country would you want in besides the United States?

We have shit holes in democratic run cities that are almost all socialist. Lol Rat infested shit hole

Yeah, course you do. More KKK talking points...

He's an outed Canadian paid poster. Would you expect any less?

You can't tell me who paid for the US based healthcare for Canadians? That would have been my first question. If Canadians are coming here for subsidized health care, we need to build a wall........

A Strategic Counsel survey found 91% of Canadians prefer their healthcare system instead of a U.S. style system. A 2009 Harris-Decima poll found 82% of Canadians preferred their healthcare system to the one in the United States.

Healthcare in Canada - Wikipedia

The notion that health care in Canada is free or paid by taxes might also be responsible for lulling us into a deeper state of complacency. But this too is a false comfort. The average Canadian household spends $2000 on health care costs and $4000 on private insurance premiums. 65% of Canadians have some form of private health insurance most often provided through their employers.

How much are you paying into your company’s health care plan? The answer is not always obvious. Just because your employer offers a plan, doesn't mean it's a good one.

Thank you! The OP is just more fake news bullshit about healthcare.

The Democrats would love it. It's mostly white people up north.

If you want to see the left's heads explode, offer them universal healthcare with the stipulation that it is citizen run. No government or politician can touch it or the money. Their heads go BOOM!

Long bow to draw. Pathetic.
Conservatives: Living in a sound bite world...and that's not a good thing. No substance.

Wanna make a conservatives head explode? Tell them health care should be for everyone...and is much more of a right than being able to have peashooters....

Fishing and hunting is a right, everyone should be able to feed themselves. Dems charge exorbitant fees for this privilege, the poor can't afford it. Plus they require like 2-3 different forms of identification yet something else that hits the poor the hardest.

Now if you want healthcare, get a job and pay your own damn bills you lazy fat ass deadbeat moochers.
