Woman euthanized 'against her will' after husband struggled with level of care she needed

So you found one bad case.

Of course, the guy had been trying to off himself for three years, he was probably going to eventually find a way to do it.
Its case of clear abuse if the system. He needed mental health care not to be pout doen like an animal

Or he was a guy whose every day of living was misery -Blind, diabetic, mentally ill.

I am not sure if this was a good thing, the government shouldn't be offing people if they are merely depressed.

But I see no problem with someone who is obviously terminal being helped to die.

He was never terminal

And?

It should read "5% of death are terminally ill people who chose to end their suffering rather than wait for the inevitable'.

I have mixed feelings about Assisted Suicide. Having watched both of my parents die (at relatively young ages) of terminal diseases that racked their bodies, I could definitely see why some people wouldn't want to go through that for another pain-filled day of misery.

ON the other hand, I'm not sure that I want that to become acceptable, because the first thing that insurance companies or government managed programs would do is start recommending it as a first course of action.
5% seems a bit high.

Another thing that could happen is the withholding of pain meds to influence the decision.

There’s a big difference between living and being alive.

I used to volunteer for a local hospice. I absolutely think some of what they do is AS.
They will slowly increase the dose of pain killers when in severe pain and terminal until they just go to sleep

Yep

And most of the deaths are very peaceful, but not all.
