We need an independent commission to look at what happened in Afghanistan

This should be a short investigation. Terrorists were in Afghanistan, our troops were there to fight them. Biden made the stupid decision to remove our troops from Afghanistan. Now the terrorists are regaining control of Afghanistan.

LOL you don't know that. Further there is zero evidence Trump would have ordered the military out BEFORE evacuating the civilians.
Trump made an agreement on that and made that a promise. He created a humanitarian crises in Syria with the way he pulled out. No indication Afghanistan would have been different. We go by records not words.

How many civilians did Trump leave in Syria and more importantly how was pulling out of an illegal war wrong?

Pedo Joe shitcanned all kinds of agreements Trump made, Dumbass.

Try to think for yourself for once in your pathetic life.

Well, the fact remains that both Trump and Biden wanted to pull out of Afghanistan, and I believe Obama did too. But Trump and Obama elected not to do it, whereas Biden did and one has to wonder why. As I understand it, even though Trump signed the deal with the Taliban, Biden didn't have to abide by it. Trump's plan was a conditions-based withdrawal, according to his plan, no final withdrawal would have occurred until final successful peace negotiations took place between the Taliban and the Ghani government.

But a June 2021 report by the Congressional Research Service noted concerns that the Taliban may not be following through with its commitments -- and the threat that could pose. “U.S. officials contend that the Taliban have not fulfilled their commitments, as violence between the Taliban and Afghan government has increased and Taliban links with Al Qaeda remain in place, according to United Nations sanctions monitors,” the report said. But Biden went ahead with his full withdrawal of US military anyway.

What was the hurry? Fighting season over there draws down during the winter months, so why not wait until then to pull out? Why not do an orderly evacuation to include our weapons systems instead of abandoning them in haste? Why not spread the word to every American over there to get the hell out or face the Taliban later?

Biden did NOT have abide by it...but also there is no evidence anything was done about the Taliban breaking of almost every aspect of that agreement.

It isn't just a Biden problem, it didn't start now, and it goes much deeper than what happened today. It requires some serious political soul searching and our broken hyperpatisan political system is incapable of doing that with integrity.

Some of the questions that come to me, as more and more news reveals hidden cracks.

1. What did various military and civilian intelligence say, know, miss?
2. What was relayed to Biden, and his national security team?
3.What was happening with Afghan leadership?
4. What information, if any, was ignored by Biden?
5. Could the outcome have been different while still allowing withdrawal and how?
6. What has the Taliban been doing since they signed that agreement?

More questions.
nah we don’t need to waste money providing cover for what we know…Xiden screwed up…ignored the experts, ignored the reality, and people died, and more will

we can’t trust a dem congress to do a proper investigation anyway
