The radical arm of the democrat party referred to republicans who wanted to negotiate a deal as "terrorists" and then said "we don't deal with terrorists". What does that tell you about today's democrat party?

He was never supposed to win.

It was supposed to be Hillary and Jeb.

Once he won they pulled out all the stops to destroy him.

I do not think that GW is/was a dick. He was just in over his head doing a job he was no way qualified to do. I think he is essentially a good person.

Trump did not upset the duopoly applecart or even drain the swamp one tiny bit. He started off with a good number of non-swamp outsiders on his team and by year two he pretty much had replaced them all with establishment swampers.
 
We don't know for sure what role the president played in all this because he stayed hidden and never spoke to the American people about it except in some scripted venue. Chances are he was too mentally incapacitated to make any deal and some phantom unelected group handled it. The media won't speculate because they have become agents of the democrat party.
 
I’m really glad about the work requirements. It’s insane for a young man in his early 20s to live with his mother, refuse to even look for a job, and collect welfare benefits - especially when there‘s a labor shortage.
 
Until we actually have congressmen and presidents who really want to improve the nation's long-term chance to survive, we will all keep losing. All our current leaders want to do is stay in power in the short-term. Meanwhile, they build their personal wealth so that their kids and grandkids will have no trouble in the coming slow motion collapse of our economy.

Joe Biden is by no means the only person enriching his children through influence pedaling. I don't know if other politicians have it as organized and systematized as he does, but they are doing it. He had a good organization going. It only is being exposed because his crackhead son turned in evidence of the whole scheme on a laptop that he promptly forgot about.

What he meant was that food stamps are for the benefit of children not their parents. Eight year olds have no control over when or if their parents work. Or that us how I took it.

So if the parents want to feed their children and keep the food stamps flowing, they need to lower themselves to….shudder….getting a job. If they don’t, they can be charged with child neglect and their kids xan be removed from them.

I don't even know what this hub bub is about. There has been a work requirement to get food stamps for a long time. I used to get them on and off 2003-2011. The exception was that if you had a kid under 6 then only one of the household members was required to work. After the youngest child turned 6 then all adults in the household had to work. So if there is no work requirement currently then they are just changing the law back to what it was before. The democrats are just acting dramatic and the republicans are pretending that they did something. It is probably just residual covid nonsense. The work requirement was probably going to happen anyways.

Don't be fooled by political theatre. In the end politicians do what is best for the country.

There HAD been work requirements, but Obama got rid of them. Now it appears the requirements will be reinstated.
 
How many votes did it take for that scumbag McCarthy to get the Speaker seat? Time for him to go. Unlimited debt until after the 2024 election is stupid beyond belief. Americans got screwed because neither that loser Biden or McCarthy wanted bad press. Pathetic.

I can't find the 2023 Budget final numbers!! The 2023 Budget are the bullshit numbers the Debt Limit raise are based on.

Looks to me that the Republicans caved. I'm betting that the votes are not there to pass the deal.

I voted nobody won but at least we started spraying the forest fire with a garden hose. Before, we weren't even doing that.
