1. Get over 60% of the control of the Congress
2. Either get control over the Court System or Abolish the Supreme Court
3. Gain control over the Military by placing your own Brown Shirts in Control
4. Destroy the Media and install your own State Run Media

Nest step? Dissolve the Federal Government and install yourself as the supreme leader.

Step 1 has been stopped by the Voter. While this isn't a bad nor a good thing, it's the first step. But when the Congress starts blindly following the "Leader" then the stage is set. Step 4 is also not working out but it was nearly successful. If you can't ban free press, you get the general public to believe it's "Fake News". It's been wildly successful for almost half the population.

There are two documents that have stopped all of this from happening. The Constitution of the United States and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). While the UCMJ has been modified many times over the last few hundred years to what it is today, the Constitution is still very close to that it was originally and has guided us for those few hundred years and has proven resilient.
