Washington Post audio of Trump berating and threatening Georgia Secretary of State for not "finding" votes to change election result. Sedition?

Update! Here is something else for you Trumpanzee moronic minions to digest:

All 10 living former defense secretaries declare election is over in forceful public letter - CNNPolitics

(CNN)All 10 living former US defense secretaries declared that the US presidential election is over in a forceful public letter published in The Washington Post on Sunday as President Donald Trump continues to deny his election loss to Joe Biden.

The letter -- signed by Dick Cheney, James Mattis, Mark Esper, Leon Panetta, Donald Rumsfeld, William Cohen, Chuck Hagel, Robert Gates, William Perry and Ashton Carter -- amounts to a remarkable show of force against Trump's subversion efforts just days before Congress is set to count Electoral College votes.

"Our elections have occurred. Recounts and audits have been conducted. Appropriate challenges have been addressed by the courts. Governors have certified the results. And the electoral college has voted. The time for questioning the results has passed; the time for the formal counting of the electoral college votes, as prescribed in the Constitution and statute, has arrived," the group wrote.

Note: Many of them are Republicans! Now shut the **** up!
Did I miss a memo? When did the USA change the constitution and put the decision on calling an election in the hands of a handful of former govt employees?
What the hell are you talking about? The election was certified by the states and the electoral college. They are just making that point. And you are just making an ass of yourself with comments like this

Who is worse?

The Democrat assholes that stole the election or the weak minded RINOs that let them get away with it?

President Trump urged fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary one-hour phone call Saturday that election experts said raised legal questions.

The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.”

Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office’s general counsel rejected Trump’s assertions, explaining that the president is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden’s 11,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.

Trump is engaging of sedition and overturning the will of the people through fraud.

Trump should be arrested for sedition for attempting to overthrow the newly elected government of the United States of America.

Everything Trump touches dies.

Is American democracy next?
Asking to Find legal votes tossed is not news worthy, but did the media wiretap spy investigate report Stacy Abrams asking her voter registration (fraud) team activists to conjur up fraudelant votes? Isn't what Stacy Abrams did news worthy then?-oops!
Isn't this new spin narrative news piece proof the left admits Trump won, otherwise why the demonization conspiracy theory on election integrity against someone who you say lost?
-oops again!
Double whammy on this one ....
What is your proof legal votes were tossed? If you can't prove that, your post is worthless.
1)the post shows 0 proof 1 single vote was illegally procured for Trump, it merely spins the request for tossed votes. This is the same poor spin job they did when Trump asked for people to make sure their vote counted.
2) tossed votes like the ones where people were purposely told to vote the wrong district, so when they left thinking it was ok to vote where they were told, the vote was tossed.
Other cases, mistakes were allowed new ballots and corrections when Democrat voters but Republican's were not granted that same equal right and their votes were disqualified while Dems were not.
3) BIDEN just sliped again regarding there will be more votes than ever before in GA, because he admits they will stuff the ballots again, that is not tossing ballots, but where is the hard copy reporting on non resident voters and claims by Biden that he and Stacy have a nice voter fraud network out there?
Horseshit heaped upon horseshit!

There is nothing illegal here.... dumb? yes. Heresay? yes
WIth all of this - obviously what is being ignored is we have two state officials who recorded a conversation with the President so they could give or sell it to the media.
It wasn't leaked. It was provided.
Is that illegal?

Unfortunately WAPO is not a reliable source.

yeah sure go back and read OAN.

BTW, they posted the audio of the call at WAPO for you’ll with degrees from most SEC schools. You can hear it for yourselves without actually having to read.
Could you translate that gibberish into English?
Sorry, perhaps your remedial English teacher can help you out with it.
If I had one, no she couldn't. That isn't even remedial English.

yeah even your inbred teachers might be able to handle it. Given Biden will be certified, let me help you out; is spelled s-e-c-c-e-s-i-o-n.

We promise not to kick the shit out of you when you try to leave this time.
You still haven't translated that gibberish into English, shit for brains.

I would be more than happy for my state to secede from the union.

I'm also not a teacher.

While you might be happy for your state to secede from the union, that is just wishful thinking on your part, as it is against the Constitution. You Trumpsters have zero idea about that document or how it works, you just listen to the Orange Idiot and believe his word as gospel.
“You Trumpsters”? He obviously doesn’t really believe any state will secede. Your hypocrisy is mind boggling. When Trump won, Cali spoke about secession too. Well the weirdos in SF did.

It would be a dream if all the trailer trash-Retardican states became an independent country from our great usa, and of course, that would include you Retardican...

Was that English? I live in a blue state, dumbass.

A lot more weirdos from different states are saying the same this year.

Hope all is well with you and your brood over the holiday season (whether it be Xmas or Hannukah)
No. It’s a tiny minority that our dishonest press gives a lot of ink too so they can sell stories. Thank you for your kind words.

He won't face any charges after being pardoned.
Pardoned by who?
Himself or Pence.

You can't pardon yourself, and you can't pardon anybody BEFORE a charge has been brought. Pardons are specific that way.

Moreover, accepting one, is an admission of guilt. So if Rump were to try to pre-pardon himself, he'd be basically announcing to the world "here's what I did".
He lost the election. Time to move on.

Have you looked at Georgia and Federal laws related to it?

If a democratic president had done what he did, would you be defending the Democratic president that lost his second term, for the same actions as Trump has done?

This extortion tactic was the same thing Trump did to the president of Ukraine.. He was impeached for that. Trump can't learn.

Oh, and no, it is not illegal to release his conversation with the President in Georgia.

The president broke election law....

But no worries, the President believes he can pardon himself for any crime!

Trying to be funny? Or do you have a better tape with time stamps, that can be paused or searched thru?? I'd venture a guess somewhere between 1/2 & 3/4 of the way thru, maybe? But I'm not going to listen thru the whole tape again just to prove your bias

Nah, wasn't being funny. Just got about 25 minutes through and all it was was Trump monopolising the conversation and telling Raffenberger and Germany et al how it was "I won the election, you know that. I got more votes, you know that." Didn't really want to waste another 40 minutes of my life listening to the rest of the charlatan's BS. Thought you might have specifics.

Of course I'm bias. Never hidden. I don't dislike Trump, I hate him. If he was to drop dead tomorrow I'd do a happy dance. Nothing to do with his presidency - always felt that way about him - years ago. Not a nice thing to say, but the amount of misery that sack of shit has brought to people doesn't make me feel bad about that.

In saying that, I agree with some of what you say. The tape is a bit of a beat up. I don't think he is being that intimidating, but I think he doesn't even realise that people could misinterpret what he is saying because he is clueless about nuance. He is so used to having 'yes' men and women around him, he doesn't understand when he is being inappropriate. He is just so used to getting his way all the time, that when he doesn't it's more of a "WTF?" attitude from him as opposed to pulling the wool over peoples' eyes. He genuinely believes there was fraud. Of that I have no doubt. The problem is, in Donald-land people just agree with him as a matter of course/ Why? Sycophants are like that. They want to ingratiate themselves with him. When you get genuine people like Raffenberger who are there to do a job and nothing else, even they're confused. Trump is wondering why they aren't playing ball. They're not 'playing ball' because, unlike Trump, they haven't spent years being manipulative, underhand and trying to win at all costs. They're just trying to do their job. And Trump just doesn't get it. Why would he. He's dumb as a sack of rocks.

Well atleast you admit you didn't get all the facts before posting, I'll give you that much........typical.

Ultimately my point was the fact that the media has once again twisted what was said to influence their unassuming public, and they lap it up like dogs to vomit.

Trump begs Georgia secretary of state to overturn election results in remarkable hourlong phone call (nbcnews.com)

Full tape, no pay wall.

Some of ya'll need to listen to the whole thing with some discernment. Yes, he did say those words and many more besides but full context is everything.
Thanks for that. You are right, there is context there. However, all of Trump's 'evidence' is nothing but his feelings. Again and again, the lady from Georgia is asking him to send through the information they have, and at one stage he said that 'it is unnecessary'. Really? We should just believe him.

One of his things is that people from out of state voted. And when it is explained to him that some of those people moved out of Georgia and then moved back again - over a period of years - he gets condescending, like 'as if people do that'. Well, yeah, Donald, people move back and forth all the time.

However the biggest lack of evidence for mine, is not just with Georgia, but all the other states (funnily only the battleground ones he lost), he talks of thousands of people turning up to vote but being told they can't because they have voted already. Apparently those people are really pissed off. Only problem is, I haven't seen one person interviewed who said that has happened to them, let alone the 20,000 that Donald said.

Also, he said 4,000 dead people voted. Georgia found two. I could go on.

Trump is nuts.

And yet you skipped the parts that they all agreed there were large discrepancies in the vote counts that totaled more than the number needed to win and they weren't doing all they could or should do to ensure the integrity of their system or results. Trump did say a few times that he just wanted to know the truth and was asking them to investigate it and they did say they would look into it.

Trump did not threaten anyone to make them give him the needed votes.....like the media has spun it

Can you point out - like give the time stamp - where they agreed there were discrepancies.

They said several times that his information was wrong. He might have said he wanted the truth, but he was also TELLING (not ASKING) the folks in Georgia that they were wrong and he won the state...period.
Trying to be funny? Or do you have a better tape with time stamps, that can be paused or searched thru?? I'd venture a guess somewhere between 1/2 & 3/4 of the way thru, maybe? But I'm not going to listen thru the whole tape again just to prove your bias

Thanks but I don't want or need anyone else's opinion. I'd rather listen to the tape myself and form my own opinion on the matter.....which I have.

Have you?

Yes.

It is sedition.

It is treason.

Time to impeach him again.

This time President Trump would welcome it and ask the Senate to find him guilty.

Then President Pence could pardon him.

Hurry up, Dems! January 20 will soon be here. So let's get the impeachment all wrapped up this week!

Members of congress are now openly calling for his prosecution.

That was the death bell of American democracy if not repudiated by every American regardless of political leanings. It was out right immoral and criminal....
Seems to me it will depend on whether we learn from these four years, consider them an instructive cautionary tale, and refuse to go back.

Will that happen? The jury is out. No pun intended.
A stress test finds the weak spots. We’ll need to shore them up because the next criminal won’t be as incompetent and dumb as Donald, that’s impossible. We may have totally lucked out there.
Bingo. We have to learn from this, because yes, the next one will be far better than Trump. We did luck out.

Trump’s ineptitude has obviously not helped him, but what has helped him are the number of Trumpist sycophants that have put Trump before Country and enabled Trump in his election fraud lie and attempts to over throw the election results. The good news is that just enough true patriots on the conservative side stood up to Trumpist lies. The question is will enough patriots stand up to the next authoritarian wannabe next time?
Yeah, as bad as all of these last four years have been, one of the most distasteful parts of all of it is the way these politicians have tossed aside any principle for rank, transparent political ambition.

None more so than Cruz.
