Washington Post audio of Trump berating and threatening Georgia Secretary of State for not "finding" votes to change election result. Sedition?

The TDS folks are crazy and stupid. President Trump simply gave the corrupt Georgia official a chance to avoid prison time if justice prevails if the Georgia official simply corrects one of the several areas of obvious voter fraud.
And why did Fake News WaPo bleep out the name of the Ruby Freeman the obese, ghetto democrat who is on video committing voter fraud? :afro:
So...you acknowledge that trump threatened him.
Trump threatened him the same way a parent threatens his child the Santa Claus won't leave any presents if he doesn't behave.

The only one that matters is the employer/employee relationship, moron. I'm not going to jail if a threaten to kick you out of my bridge club. End of story.
If you request I commit an illegal act, or you would retaliate and kick me out of the bridge club, it would be a felony.
Solicitation under threat of deprivation
Trump didn't request anything illegal, dumbass.

That was the death bell of American democracy if not repudiated by every American regardless of political leanings. It was out right immoral and criminal. His “evidence” would have been shredded in court which is why he is back dooring the election politically and not in court. He should be tried convicted and possibly executed for sedition.

Trying to be funny? Or do you have a better tape with time stamps, that can be paused or searched thru?? I'd venture a guess somewhere between 1/2 & 3/4 of the way thru, maybe? But I'm not going to listen thru the whole tape again just to prove your bias

Nah, wasn't being funny. Just got about 25 minutes through and all it was was Trump monopolising the conversation and telling Raffenberger and Germany et al how it was "I won the election, you know that. I got more votes, you know that." Didn't really want to waste another 40 minutes of my life listening to the rest of the charlatan's BS. Thought you might have specifics.

Of course I'm bias. Never hidden. I don't dislike Trump, I hate him. If he was to drop dead tomorrow I'd do a happy dance. Nothing to do with his presidency - always felt that way about him - years ago. Not a nice thing to say, but the amount of misery that sack of shit has brought to people doesn't make me feel bad about that.

In saying that, I agree with some of what you say. The tape is a bit of a beat up. I don't think he is being that intimidating, but I think he doesn't even realise that people could misinterpret what he is saying because he is clueless about nuance. He is so used to having 'yes' men and women around him, he doesn't understand when he is being inappropriate. He is just so used to getting his way all the time, that when he doesn't it's more of a "WTF?" attitude from him as opposed to pulling the wool over peoples' eyes. He genuinely believes there was fraud. Of that I have no doubt. The problem is, in Donald-land people just agree with him as a matter of course/ Why? Sycophants are like that. They want to ingratiate themselves with him. When you get genuine people like Raffenberger who are there to do a job and nothing else, even they're confused. Trump is wondering why they aren't playing ball. They're not 'playing ball' because, unlike Trump, they haven't spent years being manipulative, underhand and trying to win at all costs. They're just trying to do their job. And Trump just doesn't get it. Why would he. He's dumb as a sack of rocks.

i don't know. i listened to his presentation. it seemed very convincing. it is impossible to lose georgia when he has record numbers in alabama, and look at his rallies?

why, o why, don't the corrupt courts rule in his favor. :dunno:

Good points. I thought the most compelling evidence was that over 4 years there is no way anyone moved back to Georgia, I mean, come on... what suckers move back to Georgia?

Trump begs Georgia secretary of state to overturn election results in remarkable hourlong phone call (nbcnews.com)

Full tape, no pay wall.

Some of ya'll need to listen to the whole thing with some discernment. Yes, he did say those words and many more besides but full context is everything.
Thanks for that. You are right, there is context there. However, all of Trump's 'evidence' is nothing but his feelings. Again and again, the lady from Georgia is asking him to send through the information they have, and at one stage he said that 'it is unnecessary'. Really? We should just believe him.

One of his things is that people from out of state voted. And when it is explained to him that some of those people moved out of Georgia and then moved back again - over a period of years - he gets condescending, like 'as if people do that'. Well, yeah, Donald, people move back and forth all the time.

However the biggest lack of evidence for mine, is not just with Georgia, but all the other states (funnily only the battleground ones he lost), he talks of thousands of people turning up to vote but being told they can't because they have voted already. Apparently those people are really pissed off. Only problem is, I haven't seen one person interviewed who said that has happened to them, let alone the 20,000 that Donald said.

Also, he said 4,000 dead people voted. Georgia found two. I could go on.

Trump is nuts.

And yet you skipped the parts that they all agreed there were large discrepancies in the vote counts that totaled more than the number needed to win and they weren't doing all they could or should do to ensure the integrity of their system or results. Trump did say a few times that he just wanted to know the truth and was asking them to investigate it and they did say they would look into it.

Trump did not threaten anyone to make them give him the needed votes.....like the media has spun it

Can you point out - like give the time stamp - where they agreed there were discrepancies.

They said several times that his information was wrong. He might have said he wanted the truth, but he was also TELLING (not ASKING) the folks in Georgia that they were wrong and he won the state...period.

Seems to me it will depend on whether we learn from these four years, consider them an instructive cautionary tale, and refuse to go back.

Will that happen? The jury is out. No pun intended.

A stress test finds the weak spots. We’ll need to shore them up because the next criminal won’t be as incompetent and dumb as Donald, that’s impossible. We may have totally lucked out there.

Bingo. We have to learn from this, because yes, the next one will be far better than Trump. We did luck out.

For goodness' sake!

Everyone knows that President Trump was NOT asking the gentleman to invent more votes.

The President was just asking him to check more carefully and that if he did, he would no doubt find that the President had, indeed, carried Georgia.

Fair-minded people know in their hearts that undocumented ladies & gentlemen voted on November 3 and did make a difference in the results. That story is the true scandal, but of course the liberal media are ignoring it.

he should elaborate on this point in his rally to insult georgians today. who the **** would want to move to georgia once he managed to escape that shithole. now vote for that blonde grifter and that quarantined other guy who seem to be loyal to me until now.

He came armed with total nonsense. Didn’t make a rational argument. Just started throwing out conspiracy theories. The SoS point by point rebuffed him
  • “Out of staters voted”= >Trumps team looked at who moved out of state but not who moved back into the state
  • “Dead people voted” => People with the same name and birthdate of someone who died over the last 20 years isn’t dead
  • “Dominion”=> Hand recounts verified automated counts
  • “sneaky democrats in the middle of the night”=>Hand recounts verified the vote counts
  • “We had big rallies”=> not dignified with a response

The president threw out BS and told the SoS if he didn’t find 12,000 votes he was politically dead and in legal trouble.

Trump’s ineptitude has obviously not helped him, but what has helped him are the number of Trumpist sycophants that have put Trump before Country and enabled Trump in his election fraud lie and attempts to over throw the election results. The good news is that just enough true patriots on the conservative side stood up to Trumpist lies. The question is will enough patriots stand up to the next authoritarian wannabe next time?

No, the election was fair. Trump lost. Trump’s call to the Ga.Sec. of State was an attempt to over throw the election results.

nah, it was only strongly suggested to "find" enough votes and "recalculate" so that trump "wins" georgia. raffensperger and germany (LOL) were NOTIFIED that if they would not comply with this "suggestion" they would commit criminal acts, with consequences. hahahahahahahaha

And the Gentleman told Trump on several occasions, that Trump did indeed NOT carry Georgia. Trump refused to believe him. Based on evidence? No. The lady asked him to send the evidence. He didn't 'think it necessary'. I have a 'hunch' I might win the lottery on Saturday. I better. If not, I hope the Proud Boys come to my rescue and let the Lottery Commission see the error of their ways....

That's how it works, right?

President Trump urged fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary one-hour phone call Saturday that election experts said raised legal questions.

The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.”

Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office’s general counsel rejected Trump’s assertions, explaining that the president is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden’s 11,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.

Trump is engaging of sedition and overturning the will of the people through fraud.

Trump should be arrested for sedition for attempting to overthrow the newly elected government of the United States of America.

Everything Trump touches dies.

Is American democracy next?

Just remember, finding votes is only allowed to be done by Democrats.
