Washington Post audio of Trump berating and threatening Georgia Secretary of State for not "finding" votes to change election result. Sedition?

President Trump urged fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary one-hour phone call Saturday that election experts said raised legal questions.

The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.”

Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office’s general counsel rejected Trump’s assertions, explaining that the president is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden’s 11,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.

Trump is engaging of sedition and overturning the will of the people through fraud.

Trump should be arrested for sedition for attempting to overthrow the newly elected government of the United States of America.

Everything Trump touches dies.

Is American democracy next?

Wow, I see that Biden has two right hands!

A birth defect I never knew he had.
Good catch.

Beautiful. Isn't it a crime in GA to record a phone call without the other party's consent?
NOPE

The language of Georgia's wiretapping law explains that it is a one-party consent law when it comes to recording other people's audio conversations.

Georgia's Video Recording Laws - ChancoSchiffer Law, LLC

Whether or not it was recorded with only 1 person's knowledge doesn't really matter. Why? Both are public officials, and conversations between public officials (if they don't contain classified information) are supposed to be part of the public record. Too bad Trump is too stupid to understand that. Part of being president means that every word you say, and every conversation that you have with other politicians can, and usually is, part of the public record.

Some of you people who think that the recording of Trump telling GA politicians to try to find some votes for him were illegal might wanna go back and study civics again.
Civics doesn't cover that topic, moron. in some states it's legal. In other states it isn't. Perhaps you should take civics to learn that.

This “situation” as explained is not between private citizens. The laws as to what is public record doesn’t vary as much.

For all intents and purposes, it is between private citizens.

Gee you chose to mock me, which means you can't address my post about NO charges found anywhere in the 400 plus page report which is 100% true and you know it!

No shit. Did you really think that squat toady called Barr running Justice would bring charges against his master while sucking his dick?

Thought not. now you know why I mocked you.

Unfortunately WAPO is not a reliable source.

yeah sure go back and read OAN.

BTW, they posted the audio of the call at WAPO for you’ll with degrees from most SEC schools. You can hear it for yourselves without actually having to read.
Could you translate that gibberish into English?
Sorry, perhaps your remedial English teacher can help you out with it.
If I had one, no she couldn't. That isn't even remedial English.

yeah even your inbred teachers might be able to handle it. Given Biden will be certified, let me help you out; is spelled s-e-c-c-e-s-i-o-n.

We promise not to kick the shit out of you when you try to leave this time.
You still haven't translated that gibberish into English, shit for brains.

I would be more than happy for my state to secede from the union.

I'm also not a teacher.

While you might be happy for your state to secede from the union, that is just wishful thinking on your part, as it is against the Constitution. You Trumpsters have zero idea about that document or how it works, you just listen to the Orange Idiot and believe his word as gospel.

After decades listening to rightwing media echo chamber, their critical thinking skills are for shit.. that's if they ever had any to begin with.

Only in your demented mind is a call about election results between the President and a state Secretary of State a private citizen phone call

Your dishonest reply is off the charts, you once again ignored the central point about Mueller never posting Prosecution charges in HIS own report which the public reads 99% of the report.

It was MUELLER who didn't charge the President with a crime.

Your rationalization is stupid and dead on arrival.

Mueller is bullshitting you with bogus legal crap, you fell for it hard.

Because that's what Mueller is known for. Bogus legal crap. God you're so smart. Why aren't you part of Trumps legal team given your expertise to see bogus legal crap that everyone missed! You are some kind of special Tommy.

Have you contacted Trump. I'm sure he would be interested in your skills. You'd be surrounded by peers that think as you.... lucky dog. One can only imagine the conversations y'all would have.

.
Mueller is noted for convicting people who are totally innocent.

Noted.... by who?
Sidney Powell, for one, and several courts of appeal.

LOLOL

Didn't Trumps legal team toss her ass under the short bus?
No.

Are you sure britpart? Might want to do a google search. It's not exactly a secret. Just saying.

Mueller found no evidence of a crime because Trump obstructed justice. Just because Mueller couldn’t compel Trump’s consigliere to testify doesn’t mean a crime didn’t occur.

No Tommy.

It's wasn't Muellers job to bring charges against the president. It was his job to investigate him and then bring his report to Justice and for Barr to decide if charges were warranted.

And that wasn't about to happen.

Political parties have ZERO authority with elected offices, surely you knew this?

or,

The Functions of Political Parties

The Republican party can't tell Trump or Raffensperger what to do , they have no such authority at all.

Trump Sues Georgia Secretary Of State Over Leaked Phone Call

Trump Sues Georgia Secretary Of State Over Leaked Phone Call (thepalmierireport.com)
by : Jacob Palmieri

President Trump has filed two lawsuits against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over a leaked phone call obtained and published by the Washington Post on Sunday, in which Trump badgered the Georgia official over election fraud.

David Shafer on Twitter: "The audio published by @TheWashingtonPost is heavily edited and omits the stipulation that all discussions were for the purpose of settling litigation and confidential under federal and state law." / Twitter

Dinesh D'Souza on Twitter: "I’m not making a threat, but rather simply saying a fact, when I say that any Republican member of the House or Senate who refuses to object to election fraud next week is basically finished as a leader in the Republican Party. Time to start packing!" / Twitter

Comment:
This could be the case that unravels the Georgia-Democrat-Abrams-Biden scheme to steal the state away from our president. Once this case is decided, all the other states will go for Trump on January 6th.
Hmm..., Leaked to the Washington Post, owned by Bezos who also owns Amazon where 90% of their merchandise is made in China.
Surely, Brad Raffensperger must realize that he has no future in Georgia electoral politics, especially with the GOP. Is he trying to ingratiate himself to the Progressive Marxist/DSA Democrats and the ChiComs? ...To whom or both? What is this idiot’s game plan?
Had Raffensperger completed a full and impartial audit and opened his ballots and machines to forensic analysis, he wouldn't be crying about the phone call.
Fulton County alone should be enough to turn the State, after being given a lawful order to Audit their vote, instead 4 hours later they were shredding the ballots they were required to audit.
To equate the President’s call with a pestering the SoS (POS) with minutia is beyond disrespect. In fact, it was the President being loyal to his oath on office, “To defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America”

You write:

Yeah it is odd that his actions might be illegal, since it was a private conversation between two high level elected officials. Since the state has already counted the votes 3 times and fully certified, why would he LEAK to a far left newspaper about a private conversation, when it is all settled legally as he tells the President?

Now since he at the very least handled it unethically, or possibly illegal, he now created increased scrutiny on himself, what a stupid man he is!

No his point is still correct. As expected, his analogies were poor. Mississippi? Alabama? Arkansas? Come on, tell us in which shit for brains state you all reside.
I haven't checked Georgia, but in Connecticut a disloyal republican can be kicked out of the republican party, making him ineligible to vote in a primary election, or appear on a ballot as a replublican.

Civiics does cover it. It's call the Presidential Records Act. As well as other government record requirements under FOIA.

Wrong. Do you ever tire of lying?

The TDS folks are crazy and stupid. President Trump simply gave the corrupt Georgia official a chance to avoid prison time if justice prevails if the Georgia official simply corrects one of the several areas of obvious voter fraud.
And why did Fake News WaPo bleep out the name of the Ruby Freeman the obese, ghetto democrat who is on video committing voter fraud? :afro:
So...you acknowledge that trump threatened him.

It is clear you have no understanding the powers of the Special Prosecution, of which I have posted in the forum around 25 times to be ignored. In it states he in the final report to the Attorney General SHALL provide prosecution OR declination decisions.

(c) Closing documentation. At the conclusion of the Special Counsel's work, he or she shall provide the Attorney General with a confidential report explaining the prosecution or declination decisions reached by the Special Counsel.

In the Mueller report, he posted 3 DECLINATION decisions in section one, stating that Trump and his team didn't conspire with the Russian over the election.

Your ignorance is typical of leftists.
